I will tell the timeline first and then post the pics. Start off in 2001 with a Brass Eagle Stingray along with my four brothers as X-Mas gifts. About a year later I acquire a Tippman 98 Custom. I take a break from paintball for a year and see a Trilogy competition at Bass Pro and get my hands on this. "Semi-auto" goes out of style so I buy a Spyder Flash off a friend which I only handle for a few months. In 2006-07 the great sport of paintball really takes off for me as I get an Ion and find out about speedball. I see my cousin using a SFT shocker and a buddy using a DM5, my dream gun at the time. I travel to a local field, Louisville Asylum, and then pick up a DM5 with a UL frame. Right away I fell in love with that gun and til this day probably the best I've played with. I contract this disease called "gun whoring" and I trade the DM5 for a Naughty Dogs Shocker for some crazy reason. That gets traded for a 06 Ego w/ a Superman color scheme and buy another ion. I never played a game with that ion which was the craziest part about it. Only a few months of playing with the Ego and I sell it to buy a DM7..continued
I did a little upgrading with that DM7 but it was time to move on. I joined the AF and was out of the game for about a year. As I was traveling I am still on the nation looking to trade so I have my brother ship my gun out so I can trade for an IM9. I first year in AR i soon found it was not at all what I grew up with playing and sold my gear. This lasts all of 4 months and my best friend gets out of the game so I buy his DM9. I went crazy with that gun, buying a Dye CF Boomstick, a Mikko USB board, and having the bolt polished by Pooty51. I trade the DM9 for a SL8R and til this day regret that. A year ago I have my brother ship the Sl8R for me so I can trade for a SLS!! and now up to the most recent where again I am on a deployment and I bought another IM9. wheeewwww what a long road
I would be kicking myself too! Those im9s are beautiful (probably in my top ten favorite guns of all time) but that dm9 was ****ing gorgeous!!!
I've had my share of guns as well...the only one I regret trading is my hurricanes sl74...oh well I went from pe to bl to md and now back to pe...it was a great journey. Nice progression story!
