It is capped at 12 teams. If we have 12teams it will be single round robin. We r just trying to give everyone some playing time and experience. That's why my paint is inexpensive. It is good tournament paint though.

We are going to do a best of 7. So it is basically a race to 4. I was going to do a a race to 7 but that will require way too much paint.

With this proposed format your going to shoot a ton of paint no matter what. If you play 4 teams and 4-0 all of them that's 16 games and that's if you don't lose

Soo... If we play 3 matches that's 12-21 points (games played)... So we won't play every team unless only 4 signed up.. And anymore then 3 matches is getting insane, 16-28 points at 4 matches... Unless a race to 4 has a different definition to you then me, I hope we average about 100 paintballs per person, a point. And I hope we get some kinda break inbatween points, it's only summer time in Louisiana.

Im pretty sure this is what will be played at the tourney. if there are only a few teams then they will do a double round robin then a finals for top 3 teams. this is what I was understanding when I was talking to the owner. I really dont see us doing a real "race to 7" if they get like 7 teams because we wont finish till maybe Wednesday and im sure our employers wont understand what we were doing. I wouldnt get too wrapped up in the terminology. This is a new place that just opened up in Lake Charles and they have hit the ground running. So at least give them kudos for making something happen. most of the teams that are gonna be playing are recently converted airball players. So expect a loose but fun event

Im not flaming they can do this thing however they want. And we are down to play! Kudos for having a tournament, We are excited. However... Details have been questionable, even you began yourself dragon, by saying " Im pretty sure" etc.

A time to be there was not even posted... no biggie got it on facebook.

We're bringing 4 guys with 100$ in each of our pockets.. So when that "race to 4" thing gets brought up i suspect we play every team 4-7 times... because thats what "race to 4" means.

I understand we probably have a terminology misunderstanding, but I also thought it was a typo when they said they were having a 3-man series on Thursdays!... 4 Thursdays in a row?!?!

Im not interested in the series, but we paid for this event so we should be able to ask some questions making sure we are getting into what we think we are getting into. (which is a simple 3 man were we play about 10-16 games.)

Guys I am trying to make this work. It is hard to make everyone happy. I did a paint discount for tournament players to $45 a case. I am new to this whole tournament thing and I am getting help from Team Resistance out of Fort Polk. They have helped alot. The tournament will be laid back and everyone will feel welcome. I promise you that. There will be a few teams that are trying to get their feet wet. I hope everyone also knows that Thursday is the deadline. U will not be able to register at the field. This is what I mean race by a race to 4. U will be matched up. Those 2 teams play 1 game center flag. Whoever wins that game gets a point and they swap sides. Do it again until one team wins 4 times. Then those two teams exit the field. The next 2 teams come on and play. The 2 teams that just played go regroup take a break and find who the match up against next. Then when that match comes around they play that team race to four. Right now I believe we will have enough teams to do a single format round robin.

Are you intending to do the traditional 2 minutes between each game on a race to 4 match. I ask because we will need to bring a helper if so. (and so will everyone else)
