I am enjoying my GT and Shift Kit!
There is a thought behind it, similar to Freak Inserts, however, over time the orings in the Freak Backs, can wear out and allow the insert to rotate/twist/move while firing. You have to replace the oring. Where as the Shift Kit Inserts, screw into the back it is prevented from turning while shooting.
But really - I think just about anything shoots good on the GT! muuhahahahaahaaa.
But the GT comes with a great barrel - you just need the shift kit to get the smaller bores.
Hope this helps!

The Eclipse SHAFT 4 Barrel/Kit is a superior kit compared to the MacDev SHIFT Barrel/Kit. (I've owned both, among many other barrels/kits).

What proof or evidence do you have to back this claim.
To be honest not really expecting an answer, a lot of PE fanboys out there. Thats not to say the Shaft4 is not a great barrel because it is. I personally was using it until a a few weeks ago. The control bore is longer, by an inch max, but thats not the end all-be all answer. Not to mention the Shift is a 3 piece and comes in many different sizes, that right there is an advantage in its self, even in actual accuracy (with proper boring).

Im putting the Hero back in Heroin.
I want your G6r parts and upgrades, sell them to me, because you wont get anything for them if you sell/trade them with the gun.

Well, I just got my shift kit with my clone last weekend. So far I am really liking it. The 3 piece design is actually really nice. Plus it has smaller bores than the shaft barrel for smaller paint. My gun was shooting ball on ball all day. My gun is also extremely quite with the barrel on but that might just be because Clones are all ready very quite... It does have quite a bit of porting though. I broke one ball in the barrel and my gun shot through the break nicely. Not to mention the barrel looks really nice on my gun.... Thats just my opinion though.....

Also, The only drawback IMO is that they only come in 14 inch tips. It would be nice if they made a 16 inch tip for players who prefer a little longer barrel.

Because having 3 bores that are all too large (Unless Eclipse finally came out with smaller bores that I don't know about) is way better than having usable ones that the Shift comes with, right? It says "Eclipse" on the side so it must be the bestest!
Eclipse fanboys boggle my mind.

I've had 2 shift kits. Shoot nice, but the threads bind sometimes which is super annoying. Personally I prefer freaks and UL's because the extra heft makes me more confident in the durability.

You really dont need anything else then the shift. And the GT looks the way it should with the shift (Awesome that is).

I really like the shift. Just want to get an extra insert for it since I got only the single insert with my Clone, and want the .681 also.

Loved my shift, the threads were so sharp and so well cut you could flick the barrel together, and get cut by the threads. Just a heads up though when you are using the barrel wrench, try to up finger on the 2 ends of the wrench that actually grab the insert when you use it. Otherwise whenever you actually need it for an insert that accidentally get stuck in there real good, the wrench will bend a little, and basically become useless, its only plastic.
