Apex 2 on a speedball gun...WHAT??

I have a Dangerous Power Fusion FX. (You may think they are bad but mine is broken in and shoots amazing) Alright, i noticed that paint bore is getting smaller at the field i play at so i am deciding on what to do because my accuracy is all over the place. I play woodsball only right now because the nearest speedball field is too far away. I want to know a few things though:
1.) Is the barrel worth the money
2.) Is it ACCURATE? Biggest concern
3.) Does is break much paint?
Please Help!!!

1. IMO, no. Your opinion may vary.
2. If you get it set so that when you fire it's causing backspin at a 90* angle to the ground, yes. However, if you are off, it can cause it to go in directions you didn't want.
3. Depends on the paint. While it's NOWHERE as brutal on paint as the flatline, it is still slightly more abusive to paint than a normal barrel.

Forget the apex for speedball, it's too much of a target and doesn't really do anything helpful for speedball (imo).

The barrel is compareably accurate to conventional barrels. However, if you use extremely cheap mishapen paint, it can be a little less accurate due to the system hitting a rubber bumper to spin the ball. It is not much harder on paint than a normal barrel despite what some people claim. I could see it being an issue with extremely brittle tournament paint (not generally used in the woods anyway). I feel they are worth the money if you play in the woods. The extra distance can be a prety good advantage and the other settings are handy once you get used to learning the system. There is a little bit of a learning curve to make use of all of the settings properly in a game.

Oh I missed that. So then saying it's on a "speedball gun" is meaningless ...

Well if it's not a speedball gun then what is it? I play in the woods and was wondering if the barrel would be good for my gun. That is all.

It's a paintball gun.

There is no woodsball/speedball specific markers. Going from hiding behind a bunker to hiding behind a tree doesn't cause 1 type of marker to suddenly stop working.
Woodsball =/= milsim.

IMO, No.

2.) Is it ACCURATE? Biggest concern.
If this is your #1 concern then save up for a barrel kit and good paint.

3.) Does is break much paint?
Not sure, depends on a lot of factors: paint quality, FPS, temperature, barrel setting, etc...

The apex2 is really good. I think its worth the price and really all i play right now is woodsball. I use mine on either an FX or an Azodin Blitz. It takes some getting used too but once you get used to it, it becomes very accurate depending on how you turn it. And where I am (new york) it dosent get that hot so i havent had a break in it. The only thing I heard is that the rubber inside that directs the ball wears out so you have to buy new tips. I got mine a little while ago so i havent experienced this yet but i dont know how much those retail for.

I played with a dude this weekend that used an Apex 2 on an Axe and seemed to like it. I use an Apex 1 and love it. The primary benefit of the 2 is that it uses a longer ramp so it doesn't angle your shots as much when you increase the level of backspin. Also, the backspin effect increased significantly when I changed to the Lapco Barrel. The Apex 2 can be used on the Lapco barrels but it seems to be hit or miss on how well it actually works.

OLD FEEDBACK!

Why do people do this wanna-be hk thing? I mean hk people dont even play paintball, they just whine and start drama while wearing the ugliest stuff. Seriously you find light blue and pink to be attractive colors for your parents 1500 dollar investment (your gun/marker)? If you want to whine keep it off the field and save it for the internet; O wait! THATS EXACTLY WHAT YOU DO! Haha, if you don't play then don't whine.

I want your G6r parts and upgrades, sell them to me, because you wont get anything for them if you sell/trade them with the gun.

To those that actually helped me, thank you!
To others, thank you for pointing out the obvious.

I would personally not use anything other then recballs/training balls with an apex 2. I have a few friends who use it, and they get problems even with middle range paint.

They have no problems shooting tournament paint through other aftermarket barrels wich does not give spin to the ball.
