Do you have to stay with your squad the whole time?
Im just confused on how the structure of the squads is and what the rules are about them? Can I go off on my own or do I have to stay with them the whole game? And If I am able to go off on my own, then what would be the bennefit of sticking with them the whole time?

Half the time, I don't even know where the rest of my guys are out there. Benefit of sticking with your squad/teammates/regular guys would be that you're more likely to be able to identify each other, and communicate directly by name rather than "hey, Dragon Timmy, your 2 o'clock!" sort of thing.

The most important time is during the hourly "skirmishes."
From the event rules:
Quote:
|
Skirmish: Your commander will have a schedule that will list specific times that particular units are to capture specific territories. A large force, the majority of which must be members of the designated unit, must capture the prescribed territory during the prescribed interval. If you have too many players in the skirmish who are not members of the requisite unit your side will forfeit the skirmish. If their skirmish is successful your side will receive 25 points.
|
Aside from these times staying with your unit really isn't that important. The commanders will receive the skirmish schedule at the commanders' briefing on Friday, so you will know when your unit is supposed to skirmish and where.

Not that I won't ever be off on my own, but i can go play woodsball any weekend and do my own thing. I kind of want to participate in a group thing. Hopefully i can find some guys to buddy up with because i have such ****ty/broke friends that none of them are going.

One of the really cool things at Living Legends games is that you might not be with your regular group at a given time, but you may well wind up running with a group you didn't expect. At LL2, I was chasing a couple guys along a ridgeline just north of the old choke point. It was a good running gunfight. There were a couple guys on my team with me, and the three of us chased these guys for a good half hour. Turns out our two targets were a couple guys from Dynasty, and the guys I was with were a couple from Avalance.

you will find people to run with ...just ask..everyone wants to be running with a larger group...because if you arent a larger group and run into a larger group you will wish you were in with a larger group....make sense?? lol...
It will be our first time at CPX (we have played Hell Survivors and Skirmish) and cant wait.
