first dslr!!!! need critique on photos!!!

hey! i just got a free 60d because i am a videographer.....tried out some basic photographs with my basic zoom lens and my 1.8 .....this is the first time im doing photography so please help me improve!!!!! be as negative or a positive as you want. just want to be better!

Well, don't take pictures of just anything. Find something that stands out or something you can turn ordinary into extraordinary with just the right shot.. Capture the right lighting, emotion, expression... What will make it stand out? What turns a "snapshot" into art?

Can't really critique your photos as they are basically just snapshots of outside a building.

But one big thing ill say, watch the way you are angling the pictures, just about everyone of them is crooked. Granted it can be fixed with a crop, but you should get into a practice of lining it up so it's straight, use the in camera grid if needed.

Try taking some animal pictures or your pets or wild animals, and lets see what you can get!

And what mode are you working with?
