Any conditioning to increase your cardio really, and run often. Try running sprints or high intensity interval training (HIIT) and train hard atleast a few times a week. Also don't slack for more than a week or two or you'll start to see your conditioning disappear very fast. Try lifting weights too (squats, cleans) and look at sprints and polymetrics if you want to increase your speed. If your looking to loose weight look at your diet and nutrition, and exercise/lift.

The most important thing that you can do is watch what you eat. Eat lots of uncooked vegetables and some cooked, lean meats, and you'll see gains. That does not mean eat more than you do now, but make sure you're getting what you feel is a nice ratio. Food is fuel, nothing more, nothing less.

Aside from that, start running more and drinking lots of water. Cut down to what you want for a body weight / composition with basic exercises like the pull up, push up, and sit up. If you want to move up from there, find yourself a gym and a one rep max calculator you like, then build your own routine with a bit of guidance from the OT fitness or bodybuilding.com or something of the like.

But most important is nutrition, hydration, and a base of cardio. Going all out for a short period of time (but making sure you get at least 30 minutes of solid work in) will boost your cardio better than a long, slow run. Try interval runs and the like.

crossfit will do the job. but you cant just do it immidately if you get cramped up and out of breath. really you should just do conditioning. lot of cardio. swimming is an amazing excercise. obviously you dont really need to be that strong to play paintball.

Diet is 85% of fitness, hands down. But I would also suggest weight lifting. The lean muscle eats up fat. The muscle will also help you keep up with heavier gear. Also cardio is so important because sometime just having that little extra speed or just endurance can help you get a flag or get to a cover spot. So, diet, weights, cardio. You stay golden Pony Boy

Also if you're cramping you might be dehydrated. In the summer expecially you need to stay hydrated. I would suggest a nice big camel back if you're playing a scenario game. That time in the woods can get unbearable when you're hot and thirsty. The best part is that you can tuck your straw into any molle strap to secure it and the drinking tube goes right up under a mask

So.......CrossFit?

Start small, work you way up. Eat a balanced diet, and drink lots of water. At least a gallon a day.

Start out with 3 day weeks, work your way up.

Focus on form if you plan on weight training, and if possible, get someone experienced to show you how to do things correctly.

Crossfit / Hurricane workout. Google the Hurricane if you're unfamiliar with it. From my experience, it kicks your *** more than Crossfit.

If you need to lose weight, calculate your BMR and subtract 500 calories. You will lose about a pound a week by eating 500 below maintenance.

HIIT is awesome, do some stairs or hills, and I'd recommend some weight training.

You don't use your core in pb?

Like other have said look into crossfit...

If you can't afford crossfit you can do similar types of work outs as well. I do these when I can't make it to my crossfit class..

I'd also at least recommend buying a pullup bar for $30.

You could pick 4-5 of these work outs and do 4-5 rounds and be done in 20-30min

15 pushups (you can do all sorts of pushups... wide, regular, diamond)
15 situps
15 air squats
10 pull ups
200-800m run (depending how your cardio is)
10 burpees (google it)
40 mountain climbers (google it)
30-40 hollow rocks (google it)

If you want to spend another $20-30 build a box for box jumps...

You can literally do any combination of the work outs listed above. Lower the amount of rounds and raise the amount of reps per work out and vice versa. Keep shocking your body.

Let me know if you have any questions.
