What was your actual flight time? Longest I've done so far is 8 hours straight in the seat. That is a long ****ing time. 8 hours in a helo is like 48 in fixed wing. |

Can you explain more? Because it's a new career field how does it change getting s gunner slot? Does it become like an open aircrew or something?
Knock out, what all is good to eat that is close by? We had Mugshots and it was good.

Means anybody can apply for it. Like new people off the street along with cross training. More people- less slots. = lower chance

It means the gunner career field is gone. That means 0% chance for gunner but special mission aviator is now available. Probably a better chance due to the prior mx requirement being gone and you now know you will end up on CSAR. |

The aerial gunner career field is no longer. They have combined with us (FEs) to form the almighty SMA. God knows where that ****ing name came from but it is what it is. |

So we have our airshow going on now and I just cannot fathom why anyone would want to work on the Thunderbirds. I guess some people like that kinda thing but I can't imagine doing that..

I'm on our airshow working group here and they are coming. It blows my mind how they are treated. They are a military unit but have requirements that make them worse than Mariah Carey. On top of that, they continue that attitude when not even with the group anymore. Had a coworker at Lakenheath who came from them and he drove a white hummer with a huge tbird sticker on the hood and his spare tire cover on the back was a huge tbird symbol as well. When we would go to the gym, he had a cute little tbird gym bag that he always took with him.
I'm sure they aren't all like that but every one that I have met has been a douche canoe.
The travel would be great as well as being treated like a rock star but the super scripted routines and keeping everything shiny would suck.
