there are some people here that drive 70 miles a day to get to and from work. I drive about 47 and it takes about 40 minutes ish. plus the base is sparse as **** and we have several 50 mph roads, many a stop sign but not a single traffic light.

Here where I'm at, I'd guess I'm lucky. I was suppose to go to Beale originally, I traded a friend for where I'm at now. We have a full size... PX, with a popeyes, taco hell, Charleys subs, and a couple of other places. But we also have 50mph roads, camp ground, several shooting ranges (something like 17) and a ton of pretty cool training areas.

Lol you know whats down here at Keesler. They JUST opened a popeyes a few months ago. All the food thats around the base. MMMMMM. Mr Greeks, several pizza places all of which are good, mexican, chinese, YUM! All of which are doable on a 45min lunch break. |

No. While in training they offer us the opportunity to trade our first duty stations for someone else's. Someone else in my class didn't want to be in ga and I sure as hell didn't want to move to Cali. Well at least not that part. I've got a few friends out there, they seem to enjoy going to lake Tahoe and stuff like that.
Shouldn't dye be graduated by now?

shoot popeyes was around back when I was there with the class six/gas station. the big thing I miss about Keesler is the food options and my short drive to work.

the area isn't bad but the base sucks. a couple folks tried switching duty stations but AFPC said no and the instructors were opposed because it would sort of insult them since they were the ones that decided where we went.
