My thing is, you just never REALLY know what you are going to have to do. We had Comm guys on my PRT who never imagined they would be doing what they were doing. We could have easily tasked them to fill slots on clearing operations.
We almost scrubbed a whole 3 day op because this one chick couldn't make it physically..
Just pisses me off that we keep ****tards who think like that in the Air Force when there are thousands of other kids lining up to do their job better and are better at PT...

it's hard to kick people out. I don't remember who it was but they said a lot of the good ones find out that they can do without the Air Force while the ones that don't really have anything going for them and probably couldn't make it on the outside are the ones that stay in. I'm not saying all career NCOs are crap as there are quite a few good ones but everybody knows at least one that made it solely on their test scores and *** kissing.

I wouldn't mind waiting on it anyway. As it is, even as a SSgt I still basically just do the work of an E-4 and below. Other than rate on 3 people and do training for the shop. I like still being able to do my job as it is.

I'm going to promote and continue promoting. I have now come to realize that I love money more than my job... which is sad
I told several of the guys in the kennels that I want EOD and they are telling me that "I need to keep trying" and yada yada. I just want out of the realm of BS called Security Forces.

I still try to test every year. But I wouldn't mind staying staff for a bit. At least thats that I am telling myself.
What do they mean by keep trying? Keep trying to apply for EOD?

They must have a better batch out here. Their comm guys jump and do all the other crazy stuff and seem to really enjoy it.

Found out that I wasn't supposed to lose my SRA stripe when I re-enlisted. I also found out that my contract wasn't constructed with any prior service history. Not only that, I was supposed to test for staff.
Career development, the MPF, MEPS, and whoever cuts the contracts has some explaining to do. Hopefully I can fix all of this stuff.
Also, Stark, quite confrontational for no reason at all.

I thought the non-apology apology sufficed. I was a tad tipsy and thought you were trying to start a bro down.
What's all this re-cert for rank ****?

Technically if you miss testing you get automatically promoted right?
And crane: keep trying K9... as in I've been a drug dog but I should try explosives. Its the same ****. Same search pattern. Same nonsense.
That and SF in general is completely ****ed up. Nobody knows what they're doing and they're full of asshats in general. Good people are few far and in between

Bingo.
So I would step from E3 to E5 (this is all coming from career development). I spoke with my OIC, shirt, and NCOIC of my section about this. They said plan to PCS to avoid the **** storm following this.
