Agreed, I love being able to ride with cars no matter how dangerous it can be. I really hate when cars ride right along side me though when they have no one in front of them...pisses me off.

^so true, getting away from people is the best part.
also, you're only distraction is your surroundings, no radio, or cell phone, its great.

hey **** you Kole! <3

LT-I plan to bike to work from here on out(weather depending). the route i take it about 14ish miles and it takes me almost 75 minutes. but it's all paved road, fairly level ground and a majority of it is a running/bike trail so there's no car traffic so i can haul *** the whole way. I try to average about 13-15 MPH.

EDIT: I think that around...July I am going to invest in a nicer bike. I kind of want to go all carbon fiber but it's sooo spendy. thoughts on this?

Eh. If you aren't competing it's kind of a moot point. You gain some speed and some mechanics but when you are just riding for fun or transport its not they big of a deal.

I want to rude to work but I don't think bringing my daughter on busy side roads is a good idea. I'll have to wait until I move back on base.

And uh. Hand grenades on bourbon street ate the bomb. 3 pretty much made for a great night. 4 would have been blackout drunk.

lol, glad you're enjoying yourself crane, I still have yet to experience New Orleans..I hear it's a lot of fun.

So..I joined a kickball league, we play every saturday at noon and afterwards we go play flip cup for 3-5 hours..this is the 3rd week in a row I don't remember a ****ing thing as to what happened after 7pm that night...FML.

I did get 3 numbers though...not sure if they were good looking cuz I know I had my goggles on lol...sigh

As for the bike, I agree. This Trek gets me where I need to be in great fashion.I guess for me I'm going to get a nicer bike with better components for long rides that I plan to do and turn this Trek in to my beater, ride it in rain and what not and not cry about having to clean it every time or w/e.

I would love an all carbon fiber bike. Last one I saw was 10 grand, but I could pick it up with my index finger, tires, breaks, and all. If I can get up to to 30ish on a 21 lb. bike, imagine how fast one could go with a 5ish pound bike. They make hybrid ones that are mixed with CF but they are still several thousand. I'd say they are worth it though, if you put enough miles on the bike and can afford it.

DBM- The burj whatever. Bunch of our guys who have gone over there for not-deployments with the F22 were not allowed to go in there. Not because a CO said so, but they were turned away by the staff.

I'll stick with a motor then. plus the drivers around here aren't known for their outstanding driving ability.

Funny- I was just wondering today about the money involved. A dollar a person would have been about $120,000 just yesterday.

using https is more secure than an http connection... that's what the s stands for. http data is sent as plain text while https data is sent encrypted.

considering the stupidity of the average facebook user, I'd rather run an https connection than increase my vulnerability to exploitation.
