Point taken--the testing I've done so far (with the good paint and fastest loader I could scavenge) I've hit around 23. The dryfiring we've done puts it over 29cps--but finding a loader than can actually put out that much paint has been a different story. I don't think the hurdle is the gun at this point.

Sweet avatar btw. I own two of them and love them

We are all on the same page. Unfortunately, the manufacturer was pretty set on keeping some things the same, and that was one of them. The cool part about the switch though is that it actually physically shuts off the power, so it doesn't drain the battery when it's off.

It is. I would say more but I want to respect the PBN rules.

Front grip is being changed--the above is just a prototype. You won't be disappointed!

IMO, the trigger is everything in a marker--and this one is good. You'll have to check it out in person to really know for sure--but it's impressive.

Much respect for Planet. IMO, they set the bar realllllyyy high with customer service, R&D, marketing, and the actual product.

Thanks for the pro-tips.

Hey Don, you might want to pop into TPB and educate those guys on the gun. They are throwing around the MOkal screwed a Luxe at a orgy with an ego during an empire axe's wedding bull still.

Oh right, your well-reasoned argument has suddenly garnered my respect for your profession.

Go back to your data tables.

Bottom line - in today's game, 30 bps is no longer a selling point.

So is much of what other brands advertise.

BPS is what made the rotor so popular. You can not tell me it is more consistent in feeding then my vmax, a prohpie, or a halo.
But it has more speed and that is the number one reason why it launched so fast.

Second being the profile.

Third it being a Dye product (though it could be argue that it being a Dye product was the number one... fanballers.) My point remains.

It may not be the biggest deal, but it is a fact that makes the gun look more appealing. Some will go for that, others will be more interested in the other facts. I feel your bottom line is senseless banter of negativity.

Wholly disagree. The Rotor is much more reliable and durable than the Halo and Prophecy, and much easier to use, in my (and pretty much everyone I've encountered) experience - I cannot speak to the V-Max as I do not own it and do not buy Valken products, really.

Sure, everyone got geeked on the Rotor loading 40bps or whatever they claimed, but in actuality, sales were probably more driven by the hopper being dunked in water and still working, or the shell being hit with big, hard objects at high speeds and not cracking. This is evidenced by Empire's latest Prophecy marketing campaign - "Put it on, turn it on, play paintball."

Consistency can be argued. I have meet and play with a lot of people who got.rid of.their.rotor because it trashed on them. Jams. Hiccups.
You can find horror stories all around on any product.

If you look at paintball product buyers as 2 groups you both have valid points. Tournament players may not care about speed and looks so much, but rec ballers probably do. I would guess that the look of a marker is the number 1 selling point for rec players. Just my opinion. I think the Proton would be a great purchase for either group. I like the on/off switch. That is especially useful for newer players who can't seem to keep their finger off the trigger off the field.

So. I've acquired an Aura with the prototype Valken parts on it. The trigger and the bolt specifically.

I haven't shot it but I am very impressed with the trigger. I was able to 3 finger in 14ish bps.

While it might not appeal to you, surely there is a YouTube video in the making of somebody cranking out 30bps in a backyard somewhere.

For the American market... Europe is a whole new ball game.

As for the gun, if it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, and walks like a duck. Its a Mokal Aura.

Lol. He just said all the changes they made. If you take a duck and change the color, sound and how it walks...you get a loon.

Assuming all that Don said is true, this will be a hawk in a ducks body.

Having known and played with a few hundred speedball players, I've yet to run into this. Interesting to hear.

The Prophecy, on the other hand...

The only problem I've herd that happens frequently from the rotor is it jamming and that is usually a result from using low grade paint.

No, see sig. But I think I make a good point that nobody's actually addressed directly yet. There's no reason to have the bolt slamming around in there at speeds that could achieve 30+ bps.

i like what valken is trying to do for the paintball industry as a whole, it dosent matter if you support thier new marker or not somone will and for the price it should take off for the newer players. I for one dont like the look of the gun, but that dosent mean that it wont be a good gun for the new and old.

this. you waste so much energy forcing a gun to cycle that fast, yet only hit 12 bps.
