It keeps the ball stack more vertical and it causes the ball to be "pushed" rather than hit and then propelled through the breech.

The 6x1 mm oring I had laying around from my clone. A standard
Oring may be too thick for some, making the bolt face sit too far into the breach. You can try an 011 (orange dye orings)

Mine is a BW NT10 and yes it helped.

Shot some marbs today... Balls would break when dropped from about waist height, maybe slightly lower. These were left overs from Canadian mr nationals where a lot of people had troubles with the paint all day. Shot a full bag on 15bps semi and had no breaks

Dwell 11 ms
Green flow tip
No inserts
Pressure 115ish shooting 290-295fps
(was at 120psi shooting 315 fps for the first 30-40 shots had no breaks)

Hope this helps people cut down on their breaking issues

BW NT10 (All internals minus manifold stock)
Prototype blue insert w/ mod'ed black soft tip
Dwell 10
No spacers or body
PSP 12.5 shooting Ultra Evil (amethyst)
iFit .676 insert w/ .684 CF Boomey
Pressure 125-130 @ 290-300

I only had a 010 oring that fit easily. Thicker than Wesr's so the bolt sticks just a hair bit more forward. Enough to see some of the blue bolt o-ring. Shot about 1.5 case that day w/ no breaks. Here are some pics for reference.

I just realized that mine was already modded like this (I bought it used) so that may be why I've had such good luck with not chopping paint.

.684 UL back
green flow insert and red soft tip
shooting evil and 4 star, about 1/2 case of each, plus valken redemption (4 cases)
