BYU-Idaho paintball club

I'm to start trying to put together a byu Idaho paintball club. i'm not sure if it will be possible, since the church is silly like that. but if anyone is interested let me know, or if this has been tried, that would be good info. so if there's any mormon ballers, post up.

You should plan on playing the SRPPL event in Shelly next month. You should try to recruit here, the Specops forum and at Idahopaintball forums.

I'm LDS but I live in Boise. I'm going to be going to BYU next year, but I'm going to the one in Provo.

I think the first step will be to see if the school will approve of it, i don't think they will. perhaps with the power of pbnation, we can have an unofficail pbclub here in rexburg. we'll just meet at someones appartment and play together on saturdays or something.

Even if the school wont endorse us, we can work something out unofficialy. I'm going to write up a proposal for the club this weekend and drop it off on Monday and see where that goes. If anyone has any suggestions or wants to be a part let me know

So i talked to a man at byu-I in the hart, and he told me that a paintball club would fall under a social activities, and would need to take a proposal to the head of the social activities. I think i'm just going to present it to the sports department anyway, and try to explain to them that it is a sport.

hey I posted in the rexburg fields forum but this one is better, I got to byu-i and I am more than willing to help where I can. I'm not sure what the stand here is on paintball but, we can definately be unoffiliated. In my opinion it shouldn't be hard to prove its a sport. I mean there are pros, all different divisions, heck there was the JT collegiate championships and everything. Plus there are people that think golf is a sport..

dude, I'm totally down. Lemme know when you wanna get that club started. i know of a couple places around here where we can go...in fact, I'm sure there's a group of peeps who are planning on going this Saturday at JBI.

Do you guys have a time? I could probably bring 3 people, maybe more. I haven't been able to play for the last 2 or 3 weeks and I really want to get out to JBI, but it's sort of a byob(ballers) place.

when i went last saurday the field opened at noon and it was only 3 of us there. this saturday i'm putting together a group of 8 or so ballers, mostly people trying it for the first or second time, and about half will be ladies, so be on your best behavior. i'm going to call jbi later in the week to find out when they open on sat.
