Viking/Excal Tuning

Hey guys...

Im wondering if there are threads available to help with tuning Vikings and Excals? Im not talking about your basic clean up and oil but rather something further in depth... replacing Orings, parts including valve and ram, board settings, etc.

By nature I am a tinkerer - Im sure Im not the only one. So I was hoping to maybe even get a sticky going here with all kinds of pics and tips... after all we cant let Jared at DC have ALL the fun! haha...

Thanks.

I really appreciate that. Im waiting on an oring kit and Im going to strip down the valve and hammer assembly and replace them all. Ive been getting leaks in 2 of my Vikings and I want to try to solve this myself.

No problem, I'm the same way. I like knowing how/being able to fix my own stuff too!

Actually, this was really helpful. The only thing I didn't figure on was the cup seal. Spoke with Jared today and he mentioned that AKA cup seals rarely ever go but that I need to loctite mine into place.

I got a couple of oring kits and fixed one of the Vikings though... thank god. Its ripping. Not sure how to deal with the cup seal viking though. Probably will send it to jared but I still want to tear the cartridge apart and replace those rings too.
