Any vet techs/assistants here?
Im just about finished with earning a vet assistant certificate. It's only lately gotten difficult, as we're now getting into blood analysis and such. Blood smears, centrifugal procedures, so on. Remembering the specific tools and instruments each procedure calls for (and all their ridiculous names) in a surgical pack is kinda rough too.
I definitely recommend this course to anybody here, but don't think it will be easy because you're good with animals. I made that mistake coming in. The mid-terms were easy because all I really had to do was take a multiple choice test and then restrain a dog in lateral recumbancy for a saphenous IV. But now we're going over all the several lab procedures and it's starting to kick my ***.
