I prefer it out although if I could have it in, I would. The ability to shoot even more fragile paint would be nice.

Ya and im glad I am able to keep mine in. Now im curious on the people that voted for FT out, is it preference or their luxe doesn't like it. Since I know luxe's are picky with the FT in or out.

I got mine with FT out so not sure if it could actually use one without issues but I prefer not to found out since I am in Canada and our weather fluctuates pretty bad.

Well i have mine out, because ive never tried it in.

On my Luxe 1.0 I always had it out. Whenever I had it in I would have issues pop up at the field. I couldn't have that.


But now with my 2.0 I always keep it in. I love sound signature and feel of the shot.

Really? Never heard that the FT effected efficiency. I dont see how it can or would... but what do I know.

Edit: Just out of curiosity but for the people that voted out, is it preference or the luxe was experiencing FSDO or bolt stick until the FT was removed.

Out. Because a spring modded luxe doesn't like it much with the FT in. No, not saying it won't work with it in if it's spring modded. Pooty posted a vid of youtube explaining the reasoning for this.

I have a 2.0 and I leave the FT out...for some reason if I leave it in, I cant shoot over 250ish fps.

In. I've had my luxe for 3 years and left it all stock with 0 FSDO even in 30* temps during the winter. I've never owned or seen a gun so gentle on paint!! All the R+D that went into the design of this gun was for a reason. Leave it alone and enjoy. The tinkering is what causes the issues most of the time...

I keep mine out. For some reason when I kept it in my FPS was not as consistant as when I took it out.

With the FT in the gun usually needs slightly more dwell to get consistent shots. Ive always ran my luxes with the FT in even if I needed a dwell of 18.

I have FT in on both of my luxes running a dwell of 16

I have a 1.5 that I couldn't get to shoot above 260, no matter if I serviced the reg, or anything, and as soon as I took it out, it's shooting 316-ish. Turn down the reg, tuned the manifold and it's shooting great now.
