Question Shift Kit?

Been looking at pickin up the full kit and caboodle for the Shift barrel system.

What are peoples thoughts on this barrel? Are they fairly quiet? How long is the control bore?

It is the lightest aluminum barrel I have used. Not as light as the Critical...but I have not used one of those. It is fairly quite....but I have only ever used the Shift on MacDev guns which tend to be quite in the first place.

Weight is 4.1 ounces which is 116 grams.
Length of the control bore is 5 5/16" or 135 mm.

In perspective, a Freak bore is 5 1/32" or 128 mm.

They work great that is of course if you listen to the postings of a biased MacDev community member.

I have no complaints about the Shift kit. I believe they are 5" control bore. This thread seems to confirm that.

The kit is quiet and made very well IMO, but I have never used it on anything other than my Clones, which are quiet guns to begin with. I really haven't found many negative things said about the Shift kit in all the posts I've read on here.

Honestly it is the most amazing barrel I have ever used. I have never been left in such awe in my life!

I absolutely love my Shift barrel kit.Its very light, extremely well made and comes in a very durable strong case.
When I used it on my Mini and Axe is was as quiet as on my Clone.
Definitely worth getting.
