NKU Paintball

Okay guys anyone who is attending NKU want to start up a team and play the NCPA series ill be a freshman there next year and wanna play so hit this thread up and ill personally go to campus and ask to start the team there. Im looking forward to college and still wanna ball and this would be the only way i could

they had a team at one point. i know a lot of the Unlimited guys where involved. would love to see another college team in the state

ik the unlimited guys were on it i want to start it again hopefully people will be interested but if not ill just continue with the team im on now

I play with EKU now. I transferred from NKU. My sophomore year at Northern I thought about reviving the club. I talked to a few people about it and the reason it fell apart was because NKU's club sports/organizations is really strict with regulations. They are very limited on funding as well (Played with the Ultimate Frisbee club there and they only gave us $75).

NKU required to have weekly meetings with the whole club, not just a team. Therefore that makes it really hard. Also most club sports need to have a faculty sponsor. But thats not hard to do, just find a teacher you like and ask them to vouch for ya. Good luck with it. I know plenty of people still there that play and looked to me to revive it. I just didnt want to take on the responsibility while doing a Pre-Vet degree lol. Good luck

I wish I went to nku or eku. Maybe if you guys get something going I can jump on somehow, I goto Gateway though.

Ronnie. We had a guy from Bluegrass Comm/Tech College play with our B line at our first tourney. There is some rule in the NCPA that allows you to play with another school if your school does not offer the club. But I think there is a penalty to the team that they play for. THats why he didnt play with us anymore for any following tournaments. We didnt want to get handicapped

edit: Correction. If a team goes into an event short of 5 available players. Other schools that don't have programs can sign up to be "pick-up" players. Then, the NCPA will assign you to a schools team to play if they are short.

Schools that have pick up players are in eligible to earn series points.

I go to NKU and was actually just looking to see if there was a club already in the NCPA. I would be interested in playing on the team if someone else is willing to get it started up.

I am a sophomore at nku and last year some guy had signs ups for a paintball club. He emailed us once and then never heard anything more about it. I went to the head of the clubs to see if i could take over or how to get in contact with the guy. Turns out he never even registered the group. He was more interested in woodsball anyway and i wanted to play speedball. There is trophys in the rec center. I feel there is enough people wanting to play its just starting it up.
