It doesn't make a big difference. The microswitch is a lighter gram activation, so it's got a lighter crisper pull apparently. I haven't felt virtue's microswitch personally.

It's a 40 gram pull instead of an 80 gram pull. Therefore it's much lighter if your a fan of rocking the trigger like myself.

I really like them. They are priced really well and extremely quiet. I'm using the 13 inch which might make the control bore longer than it is, but its right at 7.5 inches

I was able to shoot a few pods with my new furious barrel. It's nice, light, and fairly quiet but I definitely like my ultralite better.

That's a very nice looking mini. Any reason why you chose an AA tip over the freak tip? Any info helps.

Thanks! My feedneck is still in the mail, same with my Virtue board. I have a really nice ano job planned for over the winter, and if funding is available some lasering as well.

Actually I just liked the look of the AA tip better, the Freak tip flares out and has straight lined holes, didn't really like it, I prefer the thin tip straight to the end and I like the spiral holes better too.

see how it flares as it gets to the tip, I just don't like the look of it, hated my stock bushy barrel for the same reason.

EDIT: but now that i think about it, I wonder if the different porting affect ball roll differently, I honestly love how the AA barrel tip shoots, I can hit a 6x6 board across the length of my back yard repeatedly with ease, about 30-35+ ft. after taking the tape measure out, its 48ft. dead accurate.

Right now for my summer barrel it's between the Dye CF Boomstick, the Disruptive, and maybe a Deadlywids Fibur, although I seem to be seeing on the interwebs that there's defective ones out there : /

Maybe a Stiffi too? Decisions, decisions.....

The SP barrel fronts look way too flashy for me. I prefer understated.

I think the freak fronts look tacky, as do cp barrels with their big fisher price logo.

all american fronts look sick, the spiral porting has always been bad ***. i'm going to use three barrels this summer. the disruptive 2 piece is good as i use the .678 back for underboring and the .682 for a slight underbore for most paint. the lurker eigenbarrel .684 and sly .689 i'll use with larger paint or fo over boring.

I shoot a Pathogen 2 14" with Ifit kit. i had a Deadly wind freak kit barrel but the tip started fraying back from dives and such.
pathogen 2 has the same sound sig if not better than the DW. durable and shoots straight as nails. pure awesome.

I like to have a variety of barrels and sizes but I recently consolidated them all down to a ultralite with .680, .684, and .688 backs for the same reasons. Underbore, a little less underbore, and one for complete crap paint.

Also on the topic of the freak tip I had a freak barrel with a freak tip for a little while. Imho it had more of a pop compared to a chuff sound from my ultralite. I never got a chance to try the AA tip.
