I am assuming you've been playing since halo b/empire/egg days. Now those were heavy. Or maybe I was just a lot younger and weaker.
When I came back in 09', the rotor was top dog on the market. I was surprised how much lighter and easier they were to use than all the halos/empires/velocitys/heck even my old revo12. Prophecies were nice too, I just wasnt a fan of how big they were. I def did have some issues with my rotor jamming/not a very solid ripdrive, though they were minor issues. For the most part though I loved my rotor, but the Z2's look really solid.
If I were still playing today (and I am seriously tempted to come back) I'd probably have both a Z2 and a rotor. Sponsorship reasons aside, Z2 seem like the most solid hoppers on the market, but having a rotor as back up can be clutch in events (easy to clean, take apart, etc).
