The Z2 material feels thin in comparison to the Rotor, but it's still stronger than the original Prophecy.

True, it is much stronger than the original prophecy plastic. The rotor to me is a much more thick & stronger plastic as you said.

Also like the multi-colors you can get.

Downside is the Rotor is heavier, I guess. That never stopped me from using one, though.

The rotor tends to jam more too.

I love our Z2s. They're night and day compared to the 'original' prophecies.

Sturdy, easy to maintain and very reliable.

Rotor gets my vote. If you've got to tear them apart between points because of smashed paint and you don't have the luxury of having another loader ready....the rotor is hands down quicker to clean and get back running.

I'm in between on the rotor/prophecy debate. The prophecy is better in terms of performance (no jamming) but the rotor is a lot more durable and easier to maintain (batteries last longer and its easier to take apart) .

Rotor def jams practice paint, or any paint that swells up and gets soft (humid weather).

The lack of a real rip drive hurts it too.

I loved my prophecy, and id love to use a z2.

I am assuming you've been playing since halo b/empire/egg days. Now those were heavy. Or maybe I was just a lot younger and weaker.

When I came back in 09', the rotor was top dog on the market. I was surprised how much lighter and easier they were to use than all the halos/empires/velocitys/heck even my old revo12. Prophecies were nice too, I just wasnt a fan of how big they were. I def did have some issues with my rotor jamming/not a very solid ripdrive, though they were minor issues. For the most part though I loved my rotor, but the Z2's look really solid.

If I were still playing today (and I am seriously tempted to come back) I'd probably have both a Z2 and a rotor. Sponsorship reasons aside, Z2 seem like the most solid hoppers on the market, but having a rotor as back up can be clutch in events (easy to clean, take apart, etc).

Rotor does jam a little bit more, but it isn't actually enough to legitimately notice it to me...

I just love the way you can beat tf out of it and nothing will be wrong. Easy to maintain right then and there on the field, etc.

I think I've seen that before actually... The new stuff ANS released like the Eclipse gun mats, lanyard, etc. has no use to me.

If you're not talking about the Geo3 with with the 'Ego 11 frame,' let me know.

yes i m talking about those pics. Im not quite sure they are as simple as the geo w an ego frame.

historically the members of the team "boats and hoes" tend to be "prototype" testers, so there may be some validity to those pics (purly speculation though)

You're probably right on that one. There's most definitely more to the Geo 3 than just a new frame, not even new actually.

Bet internals are a bit different, air efficiency, new board... Don't really know.

Seems likely that it's a Geo 3 prototype. Makes perfect sense. I doubt Jack et al ever stop working on improving their products, and it's been a while since the Geo 2 came out. They said they are only going to release new products when they make something worth releasing, and that's cool with me. Maybe they're getting close to release now.

They probably slapped in the new adjustable noid from the Ego 11 (hence that larger area above the trigger guard), and I'd guess that they've made some other changes internally. Hopefully they've made it a bit more efficient. Not that a hopper and 7-8 pods is bad for a spool valve marker, but that leaves room for improvement.

Makes sense that they'd have them out there in the wild being tested. Better to do that than to keep everything internal until release and not send any markers out for testing at all, then have to deal with a bunch of broken guns and sending out replacement parts after the fact (as was the MO for a certain marker manufacturer I worked for).

I like how they don't make a new gun every year.

Putting out new color combos periodically is a solid replacement for the new gun every year thing.

I agree. I wish custom milled guns would become popular again. I was looking at scooping up an Avalanche SL74 just because of the custom engraving.

The Dark Ego's were my favorite.

Those Avalanche SL's are really nice with that milling like you said.

The dark Ego 11's look really nice too. Especially the purple/black that someone put up for $800.
