their older tanks with the big hex-shaped regs were on a bit on the heavy side, damn near bullet proof reg though. i had one for a couple years. a buddy just got one of their newer 68/4500s and holding it hand in hand with my ninja tank they are almost identical in size/weight/length. their new regs are much smaller than the old ones.

Yea I have the old reg on my cf tank, hydro is in like 2 months so I was prbly going to send it to ninja for a reg swap and hydro... Didn't know the regs were bullet proof though, although I never thought about shooting it with a real gun either

How consistent is their new reg?

couldnt say, probably just as consistant as their old reg. tank reg doesnt matter as much as gun reg especially if its an HP tank, theres enough pressure output to compensate for inconsistencies.

Well my cf reg is +/- 4 the ninja reg on my back up steele/my dads tank is +/- 2...

You can also look for a place where they do scuba tank rehydros and firefighter equipment rehydros locally. THere should be at least 1-2 places in every states and should be almost guaranteed near big cities. Also it would be about 15-20 to rehydro so it wont hurt you too bad. Also remember tanks can really only be rehydroed twice because they have a 15 year life span.

If your local sporting good store has scuba classes you can ask there too. I saw someone post about the fire station as well.

But yeah as stated as long as its not over $30 you should be good.
