Seattle renegade ballers?

Somewhat new to the area, i was trying to find if there are any groups that play every month or so 'outlaw' or renegade style, whatever you want to call it. as much as i like playing at legit fields, work schedule and money just seem to get in the way. Being from a smaller town in Colorado, this is all we had and it was pretty sweet. def dont want to get in some group of kids running around shooting each other in shop goggles though....

Renegade style? Like find a random patch of woods and play there?

I've done that a couple times near Tacoma, but none of those people specifically know about PBNation. That was probably 8 or 9 years ago though. Not sure that it's a very big thing here in WA.

ya, it kinda seems like its not that big. it was pretty big back home in CO (small towns), and huge in AZ (pbaz.com helped that out). too bad, the woods up here would be wicked for some games

As long as you arent on private land or a state park or something it should be ok. anywhere that you are allow to shoot a real gun and hunt, paintball shouldnt be a problem, i.e. BLM lands. and demsmydunkaroos, dont be a moron

Think the guy was giving you a fun solution to your problem with the splatmasters. Cheap and fun guns.

As far as playing on BLM land be careful. Had them destroy fields with heavy equipment years back.

Yeah there is a difference between hunting and shooting off your shotgun, rifle, or using a bow and arrow, and paintball. I had head that there was an outlaw field over in the West Seattle area, but that was years ago. Then there was someone trying to start something up back around the Renton, but never heard anything more about that.

outlaw ball is major guaranteed way to lose out big time, most times when people play here regularly if they dont play at a field they have friends with enough property... otherwise own up and play at a field, its not worth losing guns, getting arrested, fined or any other thing... oh and our police are sensitive to gun usage and are quick on the trigger so all around smart to not play outlaw...

on another note, Demsmydunkaroos gave a alternative, and this is the nation, should have expected a response like that...

Oddly enough, many of the airsoft players are playing outlaw, and I don't hear from the community there that they are getting busted by cops and having their stuff taken. And they certainly are more realistic that alot of paintballers, so if they are going to be quick on the trigger, it would certainly be a bunch of very paramilitary looking people with stuff that looks more like the real deal than our stuff.

If you are somewhat new to the area, as you said in your OP, then how would you know what the old school woodsball scene was like? How do you know if it is non-existant, or if has simply evolved? I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but your own comment is inflammatory to say the least.

I can remember playing at Action, and having Kurt tell my team mate, who wore this brightly colored shirt, that when he saw the guy take two steps into the sagebrush there, Kurt wasn't about to go near it, since he blended in like so well.

Or the guys playing in the EverClear woods.

Or the captain of Team NME who played the day, or weekend, after Christmas in a Santa suit, would start out every game with a loud "Ho Ho Hooooo!" which everyone could hear across the field. And anyone that shot him, got a free 100 rounds of paintball.

Or the guy that sold me my old MiniMag that was one of the earliest adopters of HPA, at least in the Puget Sound area, and trying to get me to buy his old tank. Mind you, no one filled HPA back then.

Honestly, if you want woodsball, it is everywhere. Only DBS Indoor and PSP are specific speedball fields. OP, KC Crusaders, DBS Outdoor, NWPP, and Paintball Inc are all woodsball with some speedball thrown in for good measure. Try them out, they are all safe, and lots of fun. And ForestFire if things ever work out for them.

thanks for the info, open truth. its just seems sometimes tricky to get some actual help on the nation without someone jumping down your throat because you dont see the sport the same way that they do. but i will say if you ever find yourself in a renegade game with some stand-up guys, it is possible to have some of the best paintball that you can find
