Recommended upgrades for Axe

Recently got an Axe and was wondering what upgrades I should look into. I've seen a lot of upped Axes with Boss bolts and UL frames. Not sure what those upgrades would do. I was also considering the nano feedneck.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

the boss bolt is a good upgrade, just dwell tune it, turn down your operating pressure and you should be good to go (also get the spring kit with it). the nano feedneck I hear is another good upgrade but not entirely necessary, I had the sniper feedneck on mine and loved it. I suggest to only upgrade the frame if you find the stock one is very uncomfortable, no sense throwing more money into the gun if you are going to sell it/trade it down the road for upgrades do no increase value too much and the frames themselves are expensive. I want to emphasize that a completely stock axe shoots very very well and consistently. I recommend shooting the gun a bunch and see what you want to upgrade and whether the upgrade warrants its price tag. hope this helps.

I would agree, tune it and shoot it and see how it feels. If you read the stickies on tuning it will help you out a lot. Good luck

Lurker barrel and paint. Then decide if there's anything else you'd like to change.

My axe has a Lurker barrel (usually I use the .684), bolt and poppet, a virtue eye board, violent series trigger pin, original empire nano feedneck and the exalt sticky grips. I wouldn't get trade it for much if anything else on the market.

I run Lurker barrels on mine, the feedneck Scout posted above, Violent trigger and pin, and have performed some simple oring work on the bolt guide and poppet. It's a fantastic gun.

That feedneck is found here (you can find them elsewhere, but this is the site I found it on)

They sell that as a nano, but it's actually a violent series no pro. The empire nanos had the logo engraved on the lever.

I just picked up a violent series low profile feed neck for my axe, I haven't installed yet to try but it's over a half an inch lower than stock feed neck .7 of an inch I believe

other than lowering the profile of the hopper what advantages does the lower feedneck give?

The best paint your field sells is what works best with the gun.

Been to a few like that. Luckily a lot of the fields around me charge the same price as I could get it online so can't complain. There is one field in Atlanta that charges $85/case. Wanna say it's GI but can't remember. Don't go there for that reason.
