Hello everyone,

I just purchased a used Smart Parts Vibe (my first marker), and the seller included a black Dye Ultralight barrel back. So now I have a factory Vibe barrel and a half an Ultralight barrel.

My question: Should I buy a Dye Ultralight front to have a complete Ultralight barrel, or should I stick with the factory Vibe barrel?

I've never used any other markers or barrels, so I don't have anything to compare the barrels to. Is the factory barrel that bad? And will I notice that great of a difference with an Ultralight?

The Dye will be quieter. You might notice a difference between the two in terms of accuracy because the bore sizes may be slightly different. The Dye UL backs are usually .688 and I'm not sure what the stock barrel is. If I had to guess I would say somewhere around .689-.690"

The Dye UL back I have is .692. I'm not sure what the factory barrel is either, but my paint rolls through it with no resistance, just like it does with my Dye back, so I think they're both nearly-equally overbored. I'm thinking maybe I'd be better off selling the back and using the money towards converting over to HPA.

I agree. Getting hpa over co2 is a much wiser investment at this point before anything else.

Just do what I did, I had the stock barrel freak bored and it works great Note the shinny bore on the stock barrel. SSC does this service.
