Should have told him you've got a ranger tab, too.
A belated happy birthday and vets day...... I worked both days, 12 on 12 off.
Didn't even get to enjoy free food.
Oh well, at least Alabama lost.

That was a good game
What do y'all do that requires 12 on 12 off if you're not on deployment?

Supporting the dudes down range. All of the reports we type are emailed to higher.... and it used to go to LNK, but now we haxx the emails to us on the west coast, and we do all of the paperwork stateside.
...so I basically do similar stuff that people do downrange, except they get paid more.

12 on 12 off is very common everywhere. Also, you weren't the only one to work the weekend 12 on 12 off other.
So they changed my section at work so I no longer fall under that douche nozzle. I am now one of the few web developers in the usmc. Yay.

I know I'm not the only one, but my job is not to sit in front of a computer for 12 hours a day. I'd be happy if I was doing something, even tedious ****.
....and now maybe you can fix MOL, yes?

Was wondering why there was so many people in bravos with barracks covers, I thought it was the memorial but I guess not.

Reservist hurr.
Coming out of MOS school is the best window of opportunity for doing anything MOS related A/R package, IA, IMA, etc. As the months/years go by in being in the reserves, you lose what you trained. Check out the MARFORRES site and go to Global Billets for open billets.
If you're going to stay civilian and do the one weekend a month forever, blow the **** up out of your resume with your MOS school because thats really the only experience you have.
I wouldn't use your GI Bill until you get mob'd at least once, the 1606 sucks. Go on a deployment then use it, you rate a ****ton more money with 50% of post-911 than you do 1606.
in the end, if you want to make anything out of your time/career in the Marines, now is the time. Don't sit back because the reserve lifestyle will make you complacent and you will miss opportunities.
