if you haven't signed the papers, you don't have to go! the grass definately isn't greener here! But on a serious note, all my buddies that are at/have been through Ft. Lost in the woods say the hated it. don't think MT is the way to go

this MAGTAF is a crock....but they found out that I was just back from Morocco with 24th MEU....and they wanted Sgt 41's. Guess who got tapped.
the mission is the same as what I was doing in Morocco for the most part.

all our MT bubbas get is **** for not doing anything, they stand at the back of a 7ton while 2 sections of Wpns Marines are exiting and not lifting a finger. the VC even has to drop the gate for them. They do drive a lot....

The MT school is easy, I currently an licensed to drive more vehicles than a MT boot and I'm infantry; so that gives you an idea of how little you will learn before hitting the fleet. I have a few friends at our motor t and one at division all of them say the same thing. As a pfc/lcpl you're the ***** and you will be doing a ton of work/driving. Once you hit nco you will do no driving unless you are in country or are teaching a class. In country it varies, if you are coming in after a ****ty unit you will have a ton of work fixing trucks/the facilities. If it was a good unit you won't have anything to do. He said it ranged from 4 convoys a week to 1 or 2 a month it all depends on what needs to get done. Overall it's not a bad gig it seems but driving military vehicles isn't fun or comfortable they also have super high cutting scores.

I'm thinking eveyone is getting high scores soon. The reserves promoted 0 people from ssgt to gysgt.
Also a few new rules came out saying you need to be pme complete by the end of your first year as a Sgt or you'll get a neg fitrep and after that it'll take 1 more year to process you out.
You get a reprieve if you're deployed obviously. But you have to have the 8100 series done then go to a school when you get home.
I was told I still had to go even after going to milc and passing. But I did that as a cpl not a sgt

Anyway getting around acceptance into the USMC for having a disorderly conduct misdemenor?
Recruitor said i could appeal, but he was black. And during my arrest i called the black officer a "******" various times and its written through the police report.(which he hasnt read he just knows of) this happened a few years ago, I just badly want to wear that globe anchor and eagle.

With all the cutbacks they're doing I doubt they'll take a waiver for anything anymore.

So Ive been thinking about starting a gun range in Texas. Like something that has a barricade lane set up, a stress shoot lane, a shoot house. Then your basic 25 and in and 100 and out to 500 lanes ... Thoughts, input ?

Gonna cost you a lot of money for land, railroad ties are fairly cheap though, which could make things look nice. If you want it done right you'll need tractors.

The labor and materials is easy, we both know what a good range should look like and have.
Its all the research that is going to be the largest dick pain.
But do you think as a civilian if you could go and do a one man shoot house run would you, if there was a barricade course set up would you, etc

As much as we joke around about racism, I do have strong feelings toward the subject. They are as follows:
Go **** yourself and die.

Were you thinking about having a whole shooting complex, or just a long strip of land with a berm at the end?
