If RP doesn't get the nod for Presidential candidate, I will sever my legs from my body and drag my bloody stumps to the voting booth to vote him in instead.

As long as you are voting based on who you think will do the best job and not who you think will win, I have no real issue. I just disagree philosophically.

Agreed. McCane v Bush in 2000: If McCain would have taken it, I would have, in all likelyhood voted for him over Gore in that election. At the time, I identified more with him on issues than with G.W. When he didnt take the nom, it was then time to look at the two candidates that were left and access them on where they stood on the issues as a whole (never been a single issue guy). I take my jabs at conservative/republicans (for fun mostly) here but I don't envy them at all this cycle seeing as how I kinda felt the same in 04 with Kerry. In the grand scheme of things cordial philosophical/Ideological disagreement is the best we can hope for.
...abaddon started back up again...

^ It seems you don't know what libertarianism is, for example on this: "Would have voted no on Civil Rights Act of 1964 and believes businesses should be allowed to refuse service to blacks & minorities"
His justification is property rights, not because he doesn't like blacks. You're telling us to do our research but you haven't even done yours, all you've done is looked at titles and made your judgements on that without actually looking into it.

also note that none of the above are needed for a thriving society, and do nothing but waste resources, control your freedoms, and make you dependent on a failing government. Maybe you should actually look into his views like you claim you did.

Please name any OECD country which doesn't possess similar institutions and regulations.
Thank you.

I don't know about their charters, but ours doesn't authorize those things on a federal level yet.
It is almost like people purposefully forget that if it isn't listed specifically, the federal government isn't authorized to be doing it.

US circa 1900s, we did alright without FDA, EPA, Dept of Ed/energy, HUD, etc...
Actually we did real well in terms of increasing the middle class standards of living and even the poorest people's standards of living increased.

I was an avid supporter until I did my homework.
Just a few things I have problems with:
Wants to end the EPA
End to mandatory immunizations for children
Administering vaccines in the past and even in the present still have some risk, why should the government force parents to vaccinate their kids in order to go to the indoctrination centers we call public schools?
Strong opponent of Hate Crime laws
Why are some groups treated differently under the eyes of the law? Hate crimes are stupid grand standing and further divide everyone into collectivist groups
Does not believe in the separation of church and state
He believes people should be allowed to say prayers in school if they want but also that others should not be forced to say prayers as well. What's wrong with that? Schools shouldn't be able to ban speech even if its religious or spiritual, there is no clause "separate church and state" in the Constitution. Government entities are supposed to remain neutral and protect rights of all people, not ban certain things and allow others.
Does not believe in evolution
End all welfare and social programs
Including corporate welfare don't forget. Any subsidy or tax loophole is essentially stolen from someone else via government force. And he wouldn't just dump everyone off the programs, especially the ones people already paid into and are entitled. He wants to ween people off them, as it would be immoral for the government to break the promises it made when forcibly taking money from everyone's income.
Get rid of public health care
Not get rid of healthcare, your titles are bogus and blatantly dishonest, hes in medicine and worked in medicine before and after heavy government influence in it and has seen first hand quality go down and prices go up.
Would have voted no on Civil Rights Act of 1964 and believes businesses should be allowed to refuse service to blacks & minorities
He supported repealing Jim Crow laws that made it illegal for a property owner to serve blacks even if they wanted to as well as all of the other discriminatory acts the government imposed on people in public accommodations, this legislation permanently blended what is considered public and private property and allows the government to usurp the rights of a property owner. This country was built on property rights.
Wants to reverse Roe vs Wade
Believes education is not a right and wants to privatize all schools
The federal government has no authority to handle public education, and not for nothing it sucks at it. It steals money via taxation then redistributes it back to states with strings attached and with heavy influence.
Get rid of the department of education
It sucks, since its creation in the 80s IIRC education has stagnated while costs have increased drastically. Let states handle it the Feds are too hard to get real change from where as states are more easily able to be changed and petitions by local communities and school boards.
Says we shouldn’t help people in disasters and wants to end FEMA
Its subsidizing rich people to live in fancy high end real estate. If insurance is too high or not available it probably means people shouldn't live there in the first place. BTW Fema confiscated legal firearms from citizens during the Katrina aftermath. They caused too much hassle in recovery efforts, for instance ice being sent in, didn't make it until weeks after actually being there to be distributed. They kept able and willing rescue workers from helping and instead micromanaged them doing paper work for hurricanes and wild fires in Texas. They also didn't allow someone from Kentucky to bring and sell generators to people willing to buy them because they felt the Kentucky gentleman was price gouging.
Do your research guys. Don't just jump on the bandwagon.

Have class, bolded my response.
