His strategy isn't just simply primaries. His goal is making it to the national convention. Anything could happen from now till Monday, August 27, 2012 when the convention takes place.

Ron Paul's strategy is to lose.
If by anything you mean Romney securring the nomination, then yes, I'd agree.
Mitt only needed about 550 delegates to get to 1144 before yesterday which is now about 350. California is winner-take-all and provides 172, that's half... You better pack your bags because it's ya boi Obama vs Romney.

Actually the century of total war was only about a half century and ended once the world abandoned the gold standard. The 20th century also saw the fastest rise in human living standards of all time.
So go fiat money!

Romney basically won every district in the five states yesterday. I'm going by the information given on www.thegreenpapers.com for delegates and Romney won at least 198 bound delegates out of a possible 225 total delegates. Every state except for Rhode Island gives all delegates of each congressional district to the winner of said district, RI being proportional. Couple that with the math a did a few days ago in this thread, Romney has roughly 373 delegates left to get to 1144. California may be the state that gets him past the limit and let's him win the nomination outright. Keep in mind, none of the calculations I have done deal with unbound delegates. I'm pretty sure what I'm adding up will be close to the definitive minimum for a first round of voting, meaning he could, and very likely may, have more.

no surprise, its satire of the whole SuperPAC ruling of citizens united, largely unpopular legislation and Colbert is a celebrity and gets to advertise his cause 4 nights a week plus reruns. Why not talk about how ROP's top contributors are Army, Navy, Air force, much more than the other candidates combined and more than the CINC? Or that most of his donations are small from individuals and not millionaire bundlers?
Obama and Romney are for the people though if the people are Goldman, citigroup, Credit Suisse, BoA et al bailouts.

Their is no connection between war and the gold standard but their is a good argument that fiat money helps fund wars and spreads poverty around the globe. We have gone from "total war" as you call it to endless war world wide since World War Two. From 1955 to 2002, an estimated 5.4 million war deaths occurred in 13 countries and that number has increased dramatically since we entered the middle east. In 2010 the United States accounted for a staggering 41% of worldwide military spending, dwarfing spending by any other country. We have military bases in dozens of countries and spend at least 20% of our entire budget on defense. The chart shows how fiat money funds war products at the expense of private investment. Furthermore the last 50 years has seen the fastest rise in human poverty the world has ever known. As of 2008 (2005 statistics), the World Bank has estimated that there are 1,345 million poor people in developing countries who live on $1.25 a day or less. This compares to the later FAO estimate of 1.02 billion undernourished people. And it's the World Bank, the IMF and Goldman Sachs that have helped fund the unequal income distribution in the world.Wars and Poverty are the effects of a fiat money system. Sure you might live in a nice home and have a decent standard of living but their are billions of people who don't have what you have. When Banksters lend money to third world countries only a small minority benefit's.The standard of living increases for a few but the natural economic balance becomes disrupted as unequal income distribution increases the scale of poverty rather then eliminating it.

Colbert's super PAC was primarily funded by small donations. That's the ironic part that was focused on during a story about a month ago. The largest donation he got was something like $3000. Compare that to Paul's super PAC that got multi million dollar donations from sugar daddy Peter Theil.
Anyway, Paul thinks the super PAC ruling was great for lifting 1st amendment regulation and I'd be willing to agree as it hasn't been that much of a problem yet.

I don't know what you are getting at. because of campaign fiance laws, the maximum amount a person could contribute to a campaign is $2500 or $5000 per couple IIRC. What happens if you want to contribute more but don't know how to operate the ad campaigns and outreach?
I think Paul had 1 or 2 multimillionaires contribute substantial sums to Endorse Liberty Pac, or RevolutionPAC, Obama and Romney have many sugardaddys funding their PACs.

You didn't even establish a connection with central banking. All this shows is that superior demand management and finance has made us richer and that we've chosen to spend some of those gains on warfare. That is not equivalent with "central banks cause war."
And everything you said about private bank lending could occur under a gold standard, so I'm not sure what you were getting at.
Stop wasting my time.

"Truth is treason in the empire of lies" wrote George Orwell, so accordingly the trial of Dr. Ron Paul is well under way.
Yet that empire of lies is under seige now by patriots far and wide...getting up, standing right up to those beasts of enslavements who have wormed their way into power.
Let my people go. Ron Paul for Freedom, because America Can be America. Truth, Justice and Liberty.. and nothing less than that.

This. This is EXACTLY why RP loses so laughable bad in every primary, and why he is non-existent as a serious candidate.
