You're right. And it was intentional that most people didn't hear him speak. The only public speaches he gave were his innauguration speaches. His State of the Union addresses were done through letters.

But don't think that technology (or the lack there of) kept politicians from speaking to people in mass. They rolled around the country side, town to town, saying their speal.

Anyway. The point is, the guy was very unimpressive. I was quite surprised given all the hoopla surrounding him.

I like how Romney's 1960's nostalgia in his speech conflicts with all his stated economic views.

I've been saying the same thing about obama since 2008. Only now people are realizing what a scam that guy turned out to be.

More proof of RNC's cheating. At this point I think scammers from nigeria have more credibility than the RNC.

I don't disagree with this at all. House Speaker claims he hears more "yay" votes when it's clearly a huge mix, and the people voting yes were hacks who might of just wanted to "not cause any waves" for all you know. John Boehner sucks and this rule change sucks. Only a hack would disagree.

Rules change makes it harder for grassroots to have a place in the party. Boehner's a DB and should never have been elected speaker in the first place. Sucks at listening to the people of his party, sucks at standing up against Obama, sucks at getting a good bargain about anything (almost as bad as Obama bargaining with Russia), and needs to be forcefully retired and live out the rest of his days eating icecream and wetting himself in a florida retirement home.

The bottom line is, the people want the truth. They want to know how and why four innocent Americans were killed last September in Libya.
They want to know how the IRS became a political arm of the White House during a heated re-election campaign and they want to know their first amendment rights to freedom of the press are still intact.

TSA never seems to give me a problem, and I travel a lot for work.

Perks of being an unsuspecting white guy who knows how to use an airport, I suppose.

What's the issue with the TSA and the scanners, again? Conservatives seem to be so up-in-arms about it being an 'invasion of privacy.'

Personally, I just walk through the scanners with a massive erection, so the scanner guy can be just as uncomfortable as I am.

No. What Ron Paul supporters need to do is get involved in the Republican party to put pressure on its candidates. Romney adopted some of the Ron Paul platform. Why don't you guys start pushing the party into a direction instead of wasting time with fringe candidates who have half a platform? Throwing in the towel or aiding the other side de facto because you want to make a statement is not helping. Ron Paul had a visible effect on Republicans this year. Use it.

I'm interested if you can dispute some of this. John Stossel obviously has a bias so I'd like to hear from the other side.

We all got the email about using our influence in the GOP positions we have acquired. They snubbed us, and the GOP is a very hated party at the moment by lots of Ind, and Dems, as well as the disenfranchised RP people.

http://rt.com/usa/news/ron-paul-rnc-convention-955/

" After being told earlier this week that he could only speak at this week’s RNC on the condition that he endorse former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney for president, Rep. Paul flatly refused to address the crowd.

“It wouldn’t be my speech,” he told the New York Times in an interview after the decision. “That would undo everything I’ve done in the last 30 years. I don’t fully endorse him for president."

She probably left them in there on purpose to cause a liberty scene. Thankfully, Mitt will increase the protective actions of the TSA and make this country safer again from extremists like that lady and Mutr.
