Anyone ever make their own tank cover?

I just moved from co2 to HPA with a 88ci tank, and did not like the cover options available to me. So I went to JoAnn’s Fabric and bought some neoprene and a special needle (their recommendation) a zipper and thread. By using clearance neoprene my cost is $12 and reality is I can make 3 more if I buy the zippers. Anyone else doing one of one soft goods? BTW it took 5 hours because I cannot sew well.

Anyway have any of you tried?

Man, that is awesome!

I can't see but I do have a girlfriend and just by her being female makes her better at these things do I may make her construct an LSU one for me.

Really, great job!

Do not try a sewing machine, the home models are not up to pushing through neoprene. I broke on one finding this out. Take your time, go slow, keep the stitches even. By the way the one I made for my youngest has held up so far and he has played 4 times with it. Mine is holding up fine also.

I use athletic tape, it's at Academy for like $5 for 2 rolls, and it has just the right amount of grip. But this is definitely cool too.
