What are the rules and regulations for getting a gun out of Japan? I currently have a cousin shooting a Luxe on base in Okinawa and was wondering what would have to be done to get the gun back safely and without risk of confiscation. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

best bet is what a buddy of mine did was take it completely apart and plain the the bag with in his clothes just a though tho places everything in electronic safe bags. like ones u get when u purchase a harddrive.

I use to be station i japan and also was in okinawa for 10 months. Your best way to rid of thearker is mail it with high insurance and tracking. Japanese laws are very strict with paintball guns. They will confiscate it if found in the travelling bag, i think security will take you if found in the carry bag and put you in jail. Tension is even getting higher with all the bad situation been going on up in okinawa.

I'd disassemble it, and mail it home in 3 different boxes. The tank would be the trickiest thing to get home i would think. I didn't know paintball was so regulated in japan. I talked to a girl on a dating website in brunei that had something in her profile about paintball and she said it was illegal there too. I heard germany has absurdly low fps limits on paintball so only tournament paint breaks basically. What is it with other countries and thinking paintball is just the most dangerous thing that's ever been?
