I'm trying to convince my friend to rechrono each time he plays. I tried to tell him I he was shooting too hot and it broke their lens and they were injured they could sue him. He says no. What do you all think? I mean its him negligence of not taking precautions to be safe.

IMO thats what is wrong with paintball. Its wreckless people like that, that the public see paintball as, when in reality it is a very safe sport and most players are very mature.

that being said, in my non-official opinion, although he COULD be sued, he would probably not be sued because the business has the insurance policy and thus has money to pay the injured person. So they probably would not bother suing your friend.

Also, your friend should chrono for the good of the game and so he doesn't hurt anyone, whether he could be liable for it or not.

at my field if you don't chrono you don't play if he is shooting hot i wouldn't let him play anymore since he probably knew he was shooting hot thats why he didn't wana chrono

Has anyone considered that he might be playing outlaw ball?
That might be the reason they are not forced to chrono.
That being said, someone there should enforce a rule that you must chrono before you play.

this is what im assuming is the case. and in this case he would be more likely to be held liable should anything happen. although a good lawyer would prob get him off cuz you couldnt prove that he was shooting hot after the fact (i mean he wouldnt chrono to be safe, so if he hurt someone, im sure he wouldnt chrono then). since you cant prove his gun was hot, you could claim that the lens was faulty. liability would now fall upon the mask maker.

so no, he probably wouldnt get in legal trouble should anything bad happen. but if he were to break my equip and/or cause me injury, you can best believe that i will seek justice in whatever manner i feel at the time, ya know....
