What a game! I'm finally feeling the energy to come on here and give my thanks to so many of the areas best paintball players! Great having you guys at OXCC!

The OXCC team put a ton of effort into pulling off this game, from top to bottom we all worked as hard as possible to make The Battle of the Bulge, "Breakout From Bastogne" a game to remember. I'd like to thank OXCC's refs and support staff for their tireless efforts to keep things running and up to speed...Nancy and the girls in registration kept the lines moving, Gizmo insured everyone got full 4500 fills all day, and Rick Carver poured his heart and soul into upgrading the field so everyone had a safe and fun experience. Thanks guys!

Another big thank you to Mark (Yellow5) and Jeanne (Mumfyswife) for writting and running a tough and challenging scenario that made everyone think. Nothing is easy when the fog of war comes into play...that's what makes scenarios interesting.

The biggest challenge when putting on a scenario is finding generals that will lead their teams for the duration of the game, generals that live up to the high standards of their "troops". I believe we did an awesome job finding the superb generals we did...James "Alpha" of Ambush Alpha who lead the US team and Fredrick "Big Bo" Young of the Sons of Vengence Paintball Team who lead the German team. These guys deserve a huge amount of the credit and the admiration of their teams! I was very lucky to work with such awesome individuals...Thanks a lot guys and way to go!!!

The teams that came out for this game were the best among the best, and so numerous that I'm personally humbled by their presence at OXCC on Saturday. Every team conducted themselves with honor and I'm stoked you were all here for this game, thank you! Tankers get the same thank you for coming out and bringing more complexity to the game...the players never knew when you guys would pop up and test their well laid out plans. And of course a big thank you to every individule player...wether you were on a team or not, you made you presence known...way to go!

Also a big thank you to Valken, Dead Mans Gear, Paintball Pandemic, the US Army, Patrick Winter, and any other vendor that showed up and assisted in the game. Thank you Bergie for some awesome Valken Redemption paint...it shot lasers and broke on target!

Of course we experienced some issues over the course of the day, and we have some improvements to make in the way things run and how we manage the game and field. I've had a lot of suggestions and criticisms that we will diligently work on to make future games even better for everyone. Thank you all for your input.

Thank you everyone for a great day of paintball!

Ambush Alpha & Knights, you guys were sick to play with. I'm going to be General of the Polar Bear team at Top Gun on Jan 27th (my birthday weekend), and I would love if you guys would come out and run with us. Link: http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3891248

Sorry, finally catching up, I guess you know the answer by now, but I reffed this one, too.

Myself and the rest of the Knight Stalkers had a great time as always at OXCC on Saturday. I gotta give props to Mark (Yellow5) and my wife Jeanne (Mumfyswife) for pulling off such a good game at such a high level...this was a game that demanded you use your head.

I also want to thank all the awesome teams and players that visited OXCC. You guys are all the best! My team, the other home teams (Delta and the Soup Can Cock's), the whole OXCC team put a ton of work into the field over the past and it showed, thank you for all the compliments.

I'd also like to thank "Alpha" and "Big Bo" for stepping up to the leadership plate. You both performed superbly in your roles. Thanks guys!

I hope to see you all again in 2013...it will be a great year!

This was my first time at this field. I had played the Bowie field twice for BOB (05 & 06) and it was great. This field is the Bowie field AND MORE!! The structures, trenches, layout.. all great. I definately plan on being back.. fields alot closer than Bowie!!

Alpha and Bo, thanks for a great game!

Congrats to the players on both sides also for making this a great game.

OXCC (Management and Staff) great job and a big THANK YOU!

I know after the game, we all decided we look to make another game next year down at OXCC. The game was played well on both sides, and the field is quite spacious to move around in. Thanks to all the players who came out to make this a great game. The Germans were pushing in the right places in pretty much well timed counter attacks.

Professor from TSSOC, it was a blast pushing those woods with you getting those crates. It was a blast getting the walk ons and other teams working together to achieve the greater goal!

Thank you OXCC for all you have done. This field is a place to play. The refs were pretty good. A few times there "fell asleep" and were busy spectating, but that happens to all of us when the game before you gets intense. Mark and Jeanne were right in July when I saw them in NY and talked to them about this field. I look forward to more possible games!

Thanks to OXCC for a great run game and very enjoyable field! There were new additions since the October game, so that is always appreciated. The paint shot great, the air was top notch, there was almost always a ref within shouting distance, but almost all of the players called themselves out when shot, so that is a plus. It was a quite honorable game (albeit there were a few dead men walking, a few non-arm band tape wearing players, and a few people not walking back to their CPs to re-insert). The props were fun and the missions were challenging.

Thanks to the Red team for putting up a great fight. I especially enjoyed playing against you all in the opening battle (thank you for not lighting me up too much when I made the flag runs at the bridge), in the trenches, and in the far tape woodline.

Awesome win for the Blue team! Alpha and Barney, it was a pleasure. To all the teams and assorted players, great working with you all. A special shout out to my team, Tri-State Special Operations Command (TSSOC), it is always a blast to run with my brothers who I know will always have my back and always keep pushing forward when necessary.

A special thank you to the tankers and Anti-tank for making the game play much more interesting and challenging.

See everyone in 2013!

I had a blast. OXCC is my new favorite field. Good paint (0 barrel breaks through 2 cases!), good reffing, good players, varied terrain - awesome. Can't wait for the next one! If you've thought about going to OXCC but haven't, stop being an idiot and go. It's a great field.

And now the classic random minor gripes that take up more post than the praise:

1) Final battles. I know everyone wants to have that giant shoot all your paint concentration of players, but I don't think I've ever been at a final battle like this at any field that HASN'T included playing on to get to the flipsticks. People call themselves out honorably everywhere else, but when it comes time to charge the objective they just run through all the hits and let the refs sort it out. This is massively unfair to the refs, who have to guess if the 900 hits on a guy came before or after he hit the stick (hint: 99% of the time, it's before).

Spreading things out a bit (extend the 50 through a few more fields) might make it possible for one team to cleanly take a flipstick more often.

2) When a player walks towards me with his gun down and his barrel cover off, I will assume he is in play. People. Put your barrel covers on when you're dead. Do not assume that everyone else just magically knows you're dead because you're walking in the open and this scenario has a special rule against dead man's walks. I've never seen anything quite like the number of people who were confused or irate that I didn't read their mind and realize they were actually dead when they walked towards me without a barrel cover or any indication whatosever that they were dead.

At any other scenario or field, that behavior earns you a couple paranoia-bonus balls. I've been barrel tagged and shot in the back enough to have no more benefit of the doubt left in me. So, if you were confused or angry that you were confronted on the way in or out of the game... put that barrel cover on and you'll be fine next time

To Silence's comment, I heard that dead man walking was allowed would someone please confirm if this is true or false!!

Also, Paint.. paint was great BUT.. PLEASE limit the color of paint!! Too many colors make it difficult to tell if FPO is being used or not.

Thats why I put my marker in the air. The way I've always seen it played is that either a) your barrel cover is on or b) your marker is in the air. I personally go with B.

It specifically stated as one of the rules on the back of the player card that Dead Man Walks were not allowed, it was also mentioned during the player briefing, stated in the rules http://boutdoorxtremechesapeakecity.runboard.com/t35 (and from me to the couple of players I told who I saw who were doing Dead Man Walks without Arm Band Tape. )

Thanks Professor!

Without my reading glasses, I couldn't read the back of the card. And I unfortunatly missed the briefing.
