Storyline (Game 2): Operation Iraqi Freedom:
Shortly after September 11, 2001 (on September 20), U.S. President George W. Bush addressed a joint session of Congress (simulcasted live to the world), and announced his new "War on Terrorism". This announcement was accompanied by the doctrine of "pre-emptive" military action, later termed the Bush Doctrine. Allegations of a connection between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda were made by some U.S. Government officials who asserted that a highly secretive relationship existed between Saddam and the radical Islamist militant organization al-Qaeda from 1992 to 2003.
The 2003 invasion of Iraq, was the start of the conflict known as the Iraq War, or Operation Iraqi Freedom, in which a combined force of troops from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Poland invaded Iraq and toppled the regime of Saddam Hussein in 21 days of major combat operations. According to U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, the coalition mission was "to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction, to end Saddam Hussein's support for terrorism, and to free the Iraqi people."
The last time the Coalition and Terrorists have met in battle, bin Laden escaped, leaving his Lieutenant to the “wolves”. However, bin Laden has found refuge in Iraq with the country’s dictator, Saddam Hussein. There bin Laden is secretly working with Hussein to plan the next terrorist act, but Coalition Intelligence reports have located him in Iraq and are making quick plans to invade and capture or kill bin Laden. Hearing about the news of the invasion, Saddam Hussein sends Ali babah al-Tikitiki, to stop the Coalition.
Will you join the Coalition to stop bin Laden and his reign of terror or will you join Saddam Hussein to stop the Coalition and protect bin Laden.
Leading the Coalition:
Major. Gen Raymond Gunn, Commanding Officers 1st Marine Recon
(played by Shaun “KamiKaze” Kimura)
Leading the Terrorists:
Ali babah al-Tikitiki, Iraqi Defense Minister, Interior Minister, military commander and chief of the Iraqi Intelligence Service. (played by Ed “Ronin” Sampilo)

Shouldn't have any effect. Walk on players are going to be rotating fields with the Mission Impossible players, so you may have to wait a little longer to play your favorite field but other than that it'll just be another great day of paintball at HSP!

With their valiant efforts, the Coalition has overcome adversity and is on the brink of defeating the terrorists organization and loosening their and grip in Afghanistan. However, bin Laden, as a last ditch effort, ordered an all out suicide attack to cover his escape. When the dust settled, Mohammed Atef was found dead and the following email was found...
From: Saddam.Hussein@Baghdad.aol.com
To: Osama.Bin.Laden@hotmail.com
Great Friend Bin Laden,
All have been arranged for your arrival. We share a common enemy from the West. The Great Infidel, the United States of America. Emperor Bush and his minions the United Nations and NATO will be hunting high and low in the mountains of Afghanistan for you, while you are in the lap of luxury here in my humble castle. No expense has been spared, I have even managed to get a few episodes of “Baywatch” from Germany so that we can discuss the evils of the West that is Pamela Anderson in private. All that I ask is that in your travels help me transfer some of my gold to Pakistan.
We will discuss more when you arrive. We will feast and be entertained; my finest goat will be ready for your arrival.
Your humble BFF
Saddam
Congrats to Shaun "KamiKaze" Kimura and his Coalition in winning Mission: Impossible Event #1. It was a hard fought see-saw battle throughout the whole day, but the Coalition pulled out a victory by 24 points!
Thanks to all that have come out and played in this event (Killer Rabbits and Mostly Bawls (the purple team), special thanks to KamiKaze and Ed along with his Ronin group, Toklas for taking video, the reffing staff and most of all Giant Sportz!
The next event will be on Sunday, Aug 5 at Hollywood Sports Park. Stay tuned for the next storyline....

ok folks, one more week til the final game of the Mission: Impossible series. We am looking forward to seeing on how the night game will turn out considering that it may get real intense.
Right now on the weather channel, the weather outlook for next weekend looks very good for the night game on Saturday as well as Sunday's play.
As a just in case, make sure that your mask is well ventilated or has a fan to prevent fogging for the night game.
We hope that you join us in making the last event of the year a memorial one!
You can prereg for the weekend here: https://www.giantparks.com/mainstore.asp?

Thank you to all of you that have come out to the final Mission: Impossible of 2012. The night game Saturday night and yesterday's game was very intense!
We (Mic and I) have to say that for Saturday nights game, the added effect of the fog machine made it surreal and game play unforgettable, with Kamikaze racking up the barrel tag/kills. Yesterday's game play was no exception, especially the big game that encompassed all 4 fields and included the walk-on and private groups!
We would first like to that Giant Sportz, Hollywood Sports Park and their staff, especially Jon Asperin for allowing us to run Mission: Impossible this year and giving us their support.
Next we would like to thank Shaun "Kamikaze" Kimura from Team Knuckle Draggerz and Ed Sampilo from Ronin pump team for leading each faction and sticking it out throughout the whole year and giving each other a run for their money!
And finally, to all the players that have played at any of the dates that were scheduled this whole year. There are too many of you to mention and frankly I am not able to remember who came out to play! lol! We have planned each event to be enjoyed by players of every skill level and we hope that those walk-ons and private groups that participated in the big game scenario, will continue to come back to play and help us grow the sport of paintball.
Again, thank you for letting us put you all through the ringer! LOL
