Pump teams planning on playing Chicago NPPL
Are there any pump teams that are for sure planning on playing NPPL?
Registration is open now,
April 9th Early Bird $1300
April 16th #2 Early Bird $1400
May 10th Final Deadline $1700
http://nppa.npplnetwork.com/team-list.php
I see so far the West Coast Sharks & Henchmen have signed up
Last year NPPL drew 5 teams from Midwest area for this event however the entry fee was lower.
I personally plan on being there for Living Legends, and would like to compete in the pump division but I don't know if the rest of my team can afford the increased cost for entry. We are also playing in the PSP pump division

We might put a line in for PSP this year, but the cost for NPPL is going to keep us away. I know a few of our guys are going to play LL instead.

Greif will have a large contingent at Living Legends but I don't think anyone on our team is interested in playing the NPPL. I know I will defiantly find time to watch some games though! We are already signed up for PSP chicago and cup I hope other teams do as well! Sign up Now!!!!

NPPL One day of play - $1,300.00
PSP One day of play - $500.00
Hope NPPL wakes up from their dream or pump teams will just give their money to PSP instead....I remember when there were 20 pump teams competing at nppl HB in 2010 or was it 2009.....that was a good memory.
Back then it was $500.00 too
a little math
20 teams x $500.00 = $10,000 back in 2009-2010 NPPL HB
4 teams x 1,300.00 = $5,200 in 2012 NPPL HB
in the end more teams make more money either way you look at it

The NPPL definitely does not see it this way. They see as they spend less time with people who paid less.
They want to know why us pumpers think that we should pay less to play than everyone else.

When the NPPL stops treating the pump division like a red headed stepchild they will be worthy of getting a full cut of money from pumpers. If they continue to treat it as if it is less important than every other division, than it will be less valuable. Simple as that.

Well the pump division is cheaper to run in that there are less teams, thus less rounds of play. Also there is less clean up associated with pump play, since a considerable less amount of paint is shot. pump division also should not be effected by the cost of the chips / tracking system as it is not used in the division.

as stated in several other threads....part of being treated like other divisions is paying the same expensive entry. If you guys wanna play NPPL then play it. Im sure its still fun but the cool kids are jumping into PSP ha

When we played NPPL last year, I felt like we were treated the same as everyone else, honestly.
But, PSP offers a more obtainable circuit for people with real jobs. Less money and one day of play, which is pretty much what I wanted out of a tournament series.

Someone told me the pricing for individuals attending the NPPL Huntington Beach event.. And it made me sick to my stomach. Then I saw the breakdown here in the thread... NPPL should be ashamed of themselves.

I agree with this statement completly. In fact I'll go a step further and say the NPPL treated the pump teams better then the divisional teams at NPPL DC last year.
With that said you will see RC jumping in for PSP Chicago and PSP World Cup for sure and maybe New Jersey too!

Agreed, it was worth it last year.. but with increase in cost & additional travel time its just not possible for most teams. Luckily the PSP has stepped in with the 1 day event for $500

Anyone know who the West Coast Sharks are and if they're actually playing? I'm guessing the Henchmen will be there, kinda wondering if CPX Prostars will sign up again.
I know TG is out, and I don't think Milwaukee is playing events this year. That leaves us and Team Machine ... anyone here play for them? or know if they'll be playing?
