Putting a back splash to it to hang stuff that way I don't actually have to drill into a wall. We need to put one more support brace on the back to keep the wobble down.

It's really deep. It's 6x3 feet. It should have been like 5x2 looking back.

Not too bad. I've also thought about trying to find an old desk or table on craigslist for free. Mine is going to be drilled into and into my garage.

I just found a 6.8 upper that I may buy this week. Mega billet side charging handle, BCG, stainless barrel, brake/flash hider of my choice plus others for about 720.

Tomorrow it will look really nice and I'll have pictures that don't suck and aren't taken at like 7.

We made it to where the legs can bolt on/off to move it around.

Super extensive test between brass vs. steel cased ammo. Good read, also a few videos. Over 40k rounds, 4 different rifles, etc. Check it.

Eric, should I go with a side charging handle on this 6.8 build? That bench looks pretty massive.

I'll check out that link a bit.

Saw that earlier. Good stuff.

I've never seen people complain about side charging. I think if uppers were more common and same price as normal ones you would see more side charging AR15s.

The bench is 6' long and 3' deep. The backsplash thing starts about 6 inches from the back. It's pretty big but I want to be able to have the press running and plenty of room for other stuff. The picture also makes the bench look huge. Tomorrow we'll have it in it's place and with it cleaned up.

Surprisingly enough, the cost is only going to be 90 more over a regular upper and a regular BCG.

I'm probably going with an 18" SPR barrel cerakoted black, Mega Billet side charging upper w/BCG, Troy Alpha 11" rail or YHM Diamond rail, low pro gasblock, and maybe a muzzle brake. It's all from Bison Armory which has really good reviews. You should check them out if you want a 6.8.

When do you expect to be in action and loading? I enjoy it and I like having the option to load at my house if I need ammo rather than buy it online or drive to a store.

Friday hopefully. Everything has been ordered minus my brass. So whenever it's all here which could be Friday or next week.

I'm reloading 300BLK first. Things in mail:

-Dillon Press 550
-300BLK dies
-Brass
-Case lube (This is sold out everywhere in local stores)

Calipers came today, and for an odd reason my tumbler was canceled so I have to reorder that.

Eric, what lower do you have on your other AR?

And do you know if ident marking can build a 6.8? It says they special in ar builds so I assume they could.

Rock River, and the SBR is Noveske.

I am sure Ident can, if they aren't swamped. I don't know what their process was, but I had great experience with them. Very nice people and I got to play with some of the NVG stuff and see some of their builds.

This place has a 3+ month wait for theirs. Midway has some Noveske and DD coming in stock next week but they're 200-450 more.

I hope ident can build something rather cheap.

Well BCGs are selling for like $300-$350. That's what's driving up the prices.

Building an upper is not bad. I paid $960 for my AAC upper and it was same price as building one (I would have built but 300BLK barrels were hard to find in the summer and I was afraid if I waited longer and longer I wouldn't be able to find the instock AAC ones).

Prices are starting to come down. I'm not even buying because I'm "stocking up for the ban" lol. I've seen a couple of newbie threads on ARFCOM. One posted a picture of his group at 100 yards. It was a good 6-10" group. I 'd and left.

Derp group for sure.

I'm really excited to start reloading. We have a big camp out shoot coming up, so I'll collect that brass. Suppressor shooting will be a blast when it's in.

I kind of wish I would have sold my extra lower for 500-600. But I figured prices would stay elevated longer than it did and I would just end up buying another one for the same price.

Reloading is pretty fun. I've enjoyed learning about it and what goes into it. Plus it saves cash.

**** yeah. I'm willing to bet there are several of those around Texas.

If y'all are looking for mags, E-Lander's steel magazines are supposed to be pretty legit. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know polymer/PMAGs>* but you aren't going to find reasonably priced PMAGs anytime soon. They sell 10, 20, 30, and 40 round magazines, albeit the 30 is the cheapest at $18.

I find the amount of ammo more impressive than the guns.

I am pretty set on mags right now. Don't get me wrong if I see a good deal I will buy some, but not going to buy more right now with high prices.
