Fields OPEN NEW FIELDS
If your a field owner or plan on owning one please open a field in Alpharetta/Duluth in my little area we have lots of kids who want to play and the only local place less than 40 minutes would be Paintball Atlanta that charges insane amounts for paint.....
25$ a bag of 500 is really killing me and its hard to convince large groups to play when paint literally r^&*s the cost of it.
If we could have some brave soul open a field in the Duluth Area you would literally be a God-Send ahha
Just my thoughts on fields needed haha. BTW Classic and Nitro are terrific fields but convincing 20+ people to drive 1 hour there and then back doesn't cut it
Thanks and i hope we get some entrepreneurs soon!~
literally if you have pricing like Classics and field variety like Nitro I will go every week with tons of people haha Thanks

You may go but you are the minority. Paintball is very good way to lose money. The reason why pba still exist is because they cater to the rental crowd.
BTW life is easier if you are dumb. Smarter people can see the bad things coming, so they have to worry about it. The dumb people can't see the bad news unfold so they never worry about it. The dumb people usually get caught off guard by the news.

I guess but if there were another field in the area with better paint prices PBA would be out of business real quick

No because pba creates an atmosphere that carter to the "Low paint usage for new players = more fun" crowd. Also we are still in a recession, most people won't put in money to split clients in order to compete on price. Dosser is the only one I know of that started in the last 2-3 years.

is DGS still open?? touche that makes sense but still if you have played at PBA it is nothing to Nitro or Classic and the paint is ..... SMH worthy

The poll said "what's your favorite field?" I told you my favorite because it wasn't on the list.

Nitro is the best speedball field in the area, to my estimation, and it's really not that far from you. It's farther for me (Sandy Springs) and totally worth the drive up 140.

Lol your complaining on having to drive an hour? I drive over an hour and a half almost every weekend to play....most people do. Why should someone open a field close to you just for you...lol who cares about you?

Hmm how do put it .... Umm sweet bro I don't give two f(&@"s how long you drive kiddo so shut it. Further more it was rather a suggestion to help metro Atlanta and the Alpharetta area. Start paying 25$ a bag of 500 and tell me how you feel so please if you going to flame GTfO.

Yeah, I'm not really sure why you're complaining. Nitro is in a good location to serve Alpharetta/Metro Atlanta being less than 45min away. I drive 2hrs to play for fun and 3hrs for practice. The money you'd save on paint would more than cover any extra driving you'd have to do from switching from PBA.

Gwinnett county purposely makes it very hard to open a paintball field. In fact, my Dad owned a field in Duluth back in '99-2000 that was very popular with around 100 people a day. However the city hated the field being there (guns are bad!) and effectively forced us to close down by instituting that we must build a $200,000 sewer system in place of our septic system.
Have you checked out Dosser Works in downtown Atlanta? They have 2 nice covered fields, currently expanding for several outdoor ones and you can bring your own paint. Great tournament and rec crowds. That should be 30-40 mins from you.
Pendergrass Outdoor Sports, at Pendergrass flea market is also prbly only abt 40 mins from you, great if you are looking for more laid back recreational type field. You can bring your own paint or buy it there for only around 50 a case. Woods, hyperball, and speedball.

Like you have already been told, I wish I only had to drive 40 minutes to play...consider yourself lucky. The closest field to me is at least an hour and a half.

I don't remember Xtreme Play...where was it? I started playing at Wildfire when it was in Tucker, and played there weekly after it moved to Gwinnett.
Since Wildfire is one of the oldest (if not the oldest) field in the state...I think Gwinnett has been pretty nice to them. I am soley basing this on the fact that I have never heard of the owner, or any employee, mention anything about Gwinnett doing anything to them specifically...and I worked there for roughly 2 years.

When you pony up the $500,000+ it costs to open a paintball field, you can talk about how paintball pricing models should work. Until then, your opinion is ignorant and uneducated.
Lest we forget that a bag of 500 paintballs used to cost $30 no matter where you went.
P.S. The ride from downtown Alpharetta to Nitro is about 40 minutes, according to Google Maps. You could probably get there in about 35. Otherwise, stick to playing in your back yard.

what would make you any more qualified than me considering the fact it is a risky business situation but out doing PBA would be about as easy if you replicated their service but lowered the price/quality of paint to what they use at Classic which isn't any less respectable.....
further more a more respectable and sustainable way would to follow in Classic's footsteps. If you have cheaper paint like spectrum it still works and its cheaper and you still make money AND PEOPLE FKING LIKE YOU MORE..... like Nitro good service good fields paint doesnt r(^* you in cost

It amazes me to see the prices people pay to play paintball in other areas. Paintball is so much cheaper in the Birmingham AL area. I played for years at a field called Paintball Quest. They had a $10 field fee, $5 All Day Air, and BYOP. And if you chose to buy paint from them, you could get a decent case for around $50. They closed in 2010 after 12 years in business because the owners were ready to retire.
Currently I play at a field called Fort Red Rock. They charge a $25 field fee which includes all day air. They are FPO but you can get a case of paint for $55.
But even as inexpensive as it is, people here complain about the prices. I always tell them if they think it's expensive here, try playing in Atlanta. ha ha
