Hello PBN:

I'm tired of my black marker negating whatever small advantage my cammies bring me, so I'd like to humbly pick your brains.

1) Are the "camo" spray paints really any better than, say semigloss Rustolem? Wouldn't the gloss paints clean up better?

2) Are the Fusion paints better for the truely plastic parts like stock and sights?

3) I want it to last. Would 30 minutes at 300f or so make it durable?

4) If I hit it with a sealer can I add more colors later to camo it up?

As far as the Fusion paint is concerned, I have had tremendous success with it and highly recommend it. I use it to paint my PVC LAW and have had zero issues with paint chipping or flaking off accidentally. Definitely use some Fusion paint and you won't be disappointed.

Use fusion paint, it's hardy stuff, if you want a less permanent fix you could try getting camo wrap tape too.

i use the krylon camo paint for my markers. it holds up pretty well and dries very quickly. it also is a very flat paint, little to no glossiness, but it comes clean easily. i havent had a problem with getting dirt and paint off of it after a day out at the field. when it does wear down, usually in the corners around edges and what not, it actually looks good. i have 4-5 markers and a rocket launcher painted with it.

the other paint i have had success with is Duplicolor's ceramic high temp paint. dries fast and leaves a consistant finish without too much effort. it also is flat and comes in various colors.
