CF Boomstick on an 11
Good day guys!
I picked up my blue/orange Ego 11 a few weeks ago and i'm in love so far!
But i'm curious, has anyone used the dye cf boomstick on an 11? i'm wondering as to how it feels, and whether it is worth the change given that the shaft4 is pretty good. thanks!

Honestly I think its a overpriced Ultralite barrel. Only the back is actually carbon fiber, the tip is a plain UL tip. I traded a dye rotor I got spare with my vicious ego X for one cus I dont like rotors and I already have 2 + a z2 proph. Its quieter to me than the shaft4 barrel, probably having something to do with the porting. Its pretty hard to tell how much lighter on my old dynasty ego 11 but theres not alot there for me to justify $160+ on a barrel with only one size. Id say just buy a boost kit for the shaft4 That gun is now traded for my CSL so Im happy with the barrel kit it comes with haha.

I used to use a White and Gold CF Boomstick on my Champagne EGO 10, I found a lot of times that the bore was way too small for paint in hot weather. The stock barrel is all you need for the EGO 11. I agree with above, it did reduce the sound signature, but definetly not worth the cost.

My teammate and I have 11's with the CF barrel. It's really not worth the price, but it shoots ridiculously good. It is quieter. I love the shaft 4 aswell, but I've always been a UL guy. I have a Disruptive barrel that is lighter than both and quieter than both. I love it and use it sometimes during practice.

Its your money man, Do what you want to do with it
You can choose to listen to our opinions BUT Theres always the BST section. Im sure you can find a used one in good condition there to get and try out for cheaper.

The shaft 4 and boomstick are completely opposite. You would have to make an adapter that screws into the boomstick and screws into the shaft 4. Plus you would need that adapter to fill the gap inside correctly.
Seems like way to much work. You would be better off getting the SL3 backs carbon wrapped.

I haven't verified this with a scale yet but the CF boomstick actually feels noticeably heavier than the UL. Anyone else find this?

It is a 15" and most ULs are 14". Not to mention the back is sleeved on the CF because dye doesn't want to worry about sealing the CF well enough. It really is just a UL that looks dang good. I use a cheap $39 eigenbarrel on my guns and love it because it is super light and really quiet, but is a 1 piece and not so good looking.

I have a CF Boomstick on my Midnight Ego 11 and really like it. It is way overpriced, but it shoots very well, is quite, and looks awesome. Also, I am a complete sucker for anything carbon fiber.
In the end, it is your money and you can do what you want with it. If you like it, then I would recommend one as long as you don't have to eat ramen noodles for a month in order to afford one. If you don't have enough cash, just get the Ultralite. Works just as well and is cheaper. Just doesn't have the cool carbon fiber.
If you really want carbon fiber, but can't afford the CF Boomstick, then there is always the Deadlywind Fibur Barrel. I have one of those as well and it is very nice and, since it takes the freak inserts, it is very versatile.
One nice thing about the CF Boomsticks is ANS has them with a variety of tip colors now, so you can match your gun. Mine has the dust black tip to match the PE Midnight color scheme.
Here are a couple pics of mine:
