New rechargeable Li-ION 9v batteries by HiTech
Little birdie told me in about 2-3 weeks HiTech is replacing the 600mah rechargeable Li-ION with a 720mah version.
So if you are looking into long lasting batteries for your marker these 720mah ones will rock.

Rayovac has a platinum series rechargeable nimh 9v rated at 200mah. Use it in my ego, no problems. $6/piece.

But it would be nice not to worry about your battery during the day at all. 200mah might work fine in an ego, but some boards/markers may not be as efficient.

If its Li-Ion than nominal voltage will most likely be 8.4V

honestly who buys rechargeable batteries anymore? just do what most paintballers with jobs do, steal them from work. If u can get away with it you can outfit an entire 7 man team and all backups and hoppers for as little as 0 dollars.

they are currently about $12 each not sure if prices will jump.
as stated 8.4v which works much better than 7.2 -7.4v batteries.
For a comparison a copper top 9v is approx 310mah
The standard 600mah should last twice as long per charge. The 720mah little longer.
How this translates into money,,, charger + 2 batteries =$60 + $12 for 3rd gun battery.
Amazon duracell 9v 8pack = $10+ shipping unless you buy at walmart or field then cost quadrupple.
We have to "assume" some things like 1 battery per month for gun and 2 per hopper on the coppertops with 6 months playtime per year.
This comes out to about 18 9v batteries per year or a 2-3 years payback if you buy your 9volts online in packs of 8.
If you buy Energizers from Sams Club a 4-pack is $13 = just over one season for breakeven.
I personally like rechargeables for the following reasons:
Never have a dead battery on the field
Don't have to upkeep or carry extra batteries
Don't have to worry about shelf life
Less weight about 1/2 as much
Its your call if this is best for you. Play once a month or only going to play for 1-2 years and quit then alkiline is best just buy a 8pack online and enjoy.

Those are NiMH also not Lith-ion
If any swell on me I will report but so far all is good.

and in the long run, how much will these save you? Yeah, do the math before you talk please..
My Maha batteries are 2+ years old now, still going strong, for a set of 4 and charger i paid 70$, and guess what? I've saved about 400$ in batteries and its PAID itself off loaning them out for 2$ each to people a day, i use 1, and i loan 3 out, thats 6$ i make, 2.5 months.. Oh there paid off... Yeah buddy think long term.

They swell up because you didnt take care of them and ill bet that you put something metal on them and they happened to short out(most common case is tossed into your pants with a coin, or into a gun case with a allen key/gun laying uncovered and bam, shorts out, gets big and then swells and its toast. almost every battery now is li-poly, or li-ion or NIMH's The world is going rechargable, get used to it, welcome it, save money.
