Gear bags.....
I am looking for a gear bag comparable to the old Redz Ultimate Gear Bag. (the ones that came with a chair) These are my favorite gear bags of all time. They had large, hard walled protective slots for all your gear. The bags Ive seen lately have basically been large, open, soft walled crap, no matter the price tag.
I don't give a crap about being able to pack a week of clothing into the bag. I would just like the bag to provide some real protection for what's inside it, and to protect the things inside from each other. Does anyone have any first hand experience with newer bags that can do that? Or better yet, do any of the stores in the state have an old Redz Ultimate Gear Bag sitting in inventory or know of someone who wants to sell theirs? Any opinions or tips would be welcome!

I just got a Eclipse Razer Compact bag from my wifes cousin who was quiting, so I couldn't be too picky. But the gearbag market totally sucks.....
NONE of the bags made today have serious internal divider compartments, so all your stuff gets to move around and crush your goggles etc.
I do like the Razor has 2 compartments, but thats the extent of it other than zip pockets.
Best bet: camp the BST and hope someone sells one of those redz with the internal dividers. This is what I got and I am only marginally happy with it, but for a steal I cant complain too much:

The larger eclipse bags are even worse as they are just one giant cavernous hole. lift it up to roll and EVERYTHING goes to the rear.

Ya it's got the triple slots for division i find it makes it easier all together i also have one of those eclipse stripes bags not as big as the one I'm using but it's a nice size and yes that makes 3 gearbags i have plus one more redz bag
( 2 eclipse, 2 redz )
If i had to choose any bag it would be a old jt bag but I'n size the empire bags are the only ones that compare but I'n division the eclipse bags are the only ones that compare

But no interior dividers....thats what all these uber bags are lacking. I want a foam slot to drop my hopper in and not have to worry about 2 tanks crushing it, or my mask......

This one I got from Tanner is pretty nifty. Its got the hard plastic shells inside it that make little walls. It seems to be made pretty nicely. Ive had the NXe Executive bag for about 5 years now and its finally started to give at the zipper, but the rest of the bag seems to me holding up well.

I used to have one of the big Unique gear bags ... had the divided interior, spot up front for goggles, big zippered compartment at the back, two zippered compartments on each side.... selling it was one of the dumbest things I have ever done ... Now I have a Paintball Body Bag... not really impressed... it is a nice bag, but not no where on the level of the Unique. Several of the guys on our team use the Unique bag. To bad they went out of business.

Executive has about four compartments. Two split in the middle up front, one for goggles (I can fit two full flexes and probably another frame half in there) and the other is for a hopper (or two). The back compartment has elastic straps on the sides for like six pods? And also two velcro straps for tanks. The lid unzips for clothing, and also has a gun pouch. Then you've got the open space in the middle and back compartment. And I think there is a velcro board that can divide the middle in half? Pretty big bag, sides are decently padded.
The old JT roller bag is about the only one I've seen that is like a box on wheels, but just two dividers (which are gun sleeves) to make three compartments.

You can always make ur own dividers. I did it with an older eclipse bag, 07 I believe. I used the piece that came inside it to keep its form. Just another suggestions..

What I did was take old 3 ring binders and cut the covers off and I used those as hard divider protectors. Light, water resistant but yet sturdy

I have the planet Eclipse bag. Its nice to be able to just have to take my barrel off and throw my setup in my bag. Stuff doesnt really move around that much and it has tons of room. I'd sell it bought it at cup

Why I love Redz Ultimate Gear Bags
The best thing is: if you get tired, they come with a free chair!
That is 3 guns (1 G6R, 1 Clone, 1 Immortal Viking),
3 air tanks,
3 rotors,
2 Shift Kits,
1 Redz Pepper stick kit,
1 full dye UL Kit,
1 BL barrel,
2 masks,
knee pads,
elbow pads,
1 pack (could hold 2),
2 Full Allen key sets,
2 boxed oring kits,
giant box of AA batteries,
6,9 volt batteries,
BL pressure gauge,
2 squeegies,
3 barrel condoms,
and 2 pod bags.
All held between layers of hard walled (top, bottom, sides, and dividers) gearbag. Of course, it is on rollers with an extendable handle. Sigh.... Im glad I found one!
