first? nope, **** chuck

and no **** get a pair of redwings, wear them for life and keep your toeseys safe. i have a pair of steeltoe doc's from my old job too since i had to look semi-presentable but often had to go into the factory (processed rolled steel) and do calibrations and ****. in retrospect if a roll of steel feel on your foot pretty sure a steel toe would do nothing

I got a pair of redwing ESD shoes for work 5 years ago. Before I quit my last job I had the option of getting another pair, but I figured my new job would provide a new pair anyway. I was wrong. Doesn't really matter though, these things are still holding up like beasts. Steel toe, steel heel, and they make me feel invincible.

I originally bought red wing mining boots but they tore up in like 3 weeks.

Then I listened to the old timers and bought the cheapo rubber pull ons and they've held up nicely for my last 6 weeks I worked there.

I plan on keeping them. I haven't been serious about fishing for many years, but I've really been itching to get back into it lately. Plus, I don't work Fridays and all of my friends do. I can't really think of a better way to spend my day than going fishing and having some beers while catching dinner.

Also, there's a bunch of bass and northern pike too.

lucky, i dont get many chances to catch pike (at least big ones). i caught 2 in the river i go for small mouth last year in like 2 feet of water but they were both about 25 inches. there are some larger ones up stream but i dont like going there (its by akron...gross).

if i go to madison for work/grad school i am going to go out for pike every freaking weekend

Yeah, I loved pike fishing back when I used to do it with my dad all the time.

If you go to Madison for grad school, take a weekend trip up to northern Minnesota. There is some crazy good fishing up there in the mille lacs area

Speaking of fishing, guess who gets to go offshore for the first time in 3 years weekend after next. This guy.

I won't be able to move my arms after I finish catching that marlin.

I had a manager tell me one time that you shouldn't wear steel toe boots because something could fall on it, and crush the steel toe and amputate your toes inside the boot. I was like dude, if something big enough falls on my foot to do that, do you honestly think NOT having steel toes will make it better?
