I had an 08 but kept going back to my 05.. something about that first line (minus me screwing my grip screws into the solenoids) kept me coming back

the original question should be modified imho. THE BEST ego imo is the ego 11. it doesnt shoot any worse than any others and has some nicer features. but if you want to know which made the biggest improvement over the previous year, it is undoubtably the ego 7.

ego 7 and ego 8 are close to the same thing. I should have had a on on the pole that said ego 7 and 8.
You guys should pass this around on facebook or where ever, would like to get more people voting on this!

All Egos shoot nice, but either the 06 Darks or the SL74s look the coolest.

Bought an SL74 in spring of 08, still the only marker I have owned for more than a year. It's solid, light, reliable, and it's my Susan.....
I put a vote in for 08, because the 74 was an 08.but basically, the 07 and 08 are the best.
I have shot all other years, owned an 11, but the 74 felt better.
Harder for Geos because of how new they are but the 2.1 would be my vote. The best iteration right now. Wish they would find a way to get 1 or 2 more pods though. And to me, it isn't as smooth as a true spool.

SL74 is a vary nice marker and I think it will always be a power house gun. Thanks all that have voted. Please keep them coming!

the 07 and 08 egos are widely considered to be the best models. of course todays ego are more flashy and so on, but my vote goes for 08
