Is an Ecocker practical?

Hello I am a user from back in 05 JulioA but havent played in like 4 years maybe more. I currently have a RL timmy that I shoot from time to time in the yard but havent played in a long time.

I miss my old cockers (dye, wgp, warped, pre2k ones) so I am buying a pump cocker for cheap and trading my timmy for a nice looking mini cocker (hoping its real light to somewhat keepup with todays new gats) and am in between leaving it a mech or eblading it.

Will it keep up with todays gats, if it is kept in great condition and ebladed?

IMO, things like this would help paintball as a sport.

I love being the only guy shooting a cocker at the field. The old school ballers give you props. An eblade cocker can still gunfight with high end electros.

Is an electric AC practical for today's paintball standards? No.
  • Bulky (a lot of protruding parts)
  • Clunky (a lot of moving parts)
  • Heavy (AC's aren't that heavy, but in comparison to a newer gen marker, oh yeah)
  • High Tech (not user friendly)

Will an electric AC be as effective to use for paintball, today? Definitely, YES!
  • Speed (just as fast, and sometimes, faster)
  • Efficiency (ridiculous if set properly)
  • Reliability (these markers will last a long time)
  • Expandability (ridiculous as to how many things can be done to an AC)
  • Functionality (works as a paintball marker, period.)
  • Aesthetics (AC's can be dressed up too)

Although I run a Smart Parts Shocker NXT, I have no problems with using one of my Planet Eclipse AC's (particularly my Factory 1) when I feel the need to. I just prefer my NXT because it's an inclosed design, and with my playing style of getting down and dirty, my marker won't suffer because of it. With an AC..it's a whole different story

There has never been a time in paintball's history that 'Cockers could not keep up with other markers.

Practical in terms of paintball play, to me anyways, is a gun that can efficiently keep up with the tempo of the game, eliminate players, not give the user problems, and most importantly - that the user likes using. I shoot a Karnivor as one of my main guns. It does all these things. It has fast bps, (faster than i can shoot, but Im not a speedball pro or anything) accurate and very reliable. I can keep up in any speedball game with ppl shooting the newest Egos/Dyes etc (all good guns as well, state of the art tech). I love em cause they are classic, and lots of players dont use them, many more dont even know what they are. If you maintain it well and set it up right, it will be very practical and youll have a blast using it and getting lots of kills. Old school paintball guns are often time just as good as the new. My two cents.
