Preping Etha for 1st time use
Howdy,
I am getting ready to play this weekend. Other than decreasing the output pressure of the inline regulator (as per the manual) is there any other maintenance that I should do on the Etha before I use it for the first time?

Dont use cheap paint. Leave it stock and shoot the marker. I played this past weekend with year old paint and it was cold out, my etha didn't fair too well. It was the first use as well. On the bright side it was about 5 mins to clean the entire gun inside and out! When I was able to shoot the paint I had it shot great. I was having troubles in both my Etha and Etek3. The paint was bad . Just play with it ! You will enjoy it a ton!

Unless you need to adjust velocity for your field I wouldn't touch a thing before taking it out and shooting it.
PE has the marker setup to shoot straight out of the box (you may need to tweak velocity for your fields rules still) As in my experience PE has the gun in the 270-300 FPS neighborhood out of the box.

I'm positive the gun will work just fine out of the box, but any time I buy a new gun, I always clean and relube the engine

If you are positive it will work why bother? why waste the time and lube? Do you not feel the factory techs are capable? Just seems silly to me to waste the effort unless something is wrong or it's maint time. I would agree if had been on the shelf for a few years though.

Mine too. Just a hair higher but consistantly in the 270s.
