Event 1 NO COACHING?

I read this in the BOOM thread, is this true? said we would find out more in the captain meeting? we are trying to find an extra person to help coach but if we cant coach then we obv dont need help with it.... thanks

Last year the an was for D3 to have coaching, while D4 would not. Of course, I found out that did not happen, but I don't care. It would be nice To know ahead of time, makes a difference on the prep.

Of course, Friday night layout release has me checking back here every hour.

I was under the impression there was snake side coaching from asking around in other threads. We're bringing somebody to specifically coach, so it would be nice to know if they're coming for nothing.

I was under the same impression... this is just what I read from the Boom-wiseguys thread and the dude plays for aftershock so i assume its pretty solid info...

Last year there was snake side coaching only, counter coaching was frowned upon. Last year with the first event inside at the PLEX I can tell you this. It was so freaking loud inside there with two fields going, and everyone screaming. If they do go "NO COACHING" at the first event because of being inside, I'm all for it. I had such a freakin headache last year when I left.

From a field perspective, snake side coaching is possible.....dorito side is not possible (inside field limitation).

Snake side will be difficult due to the netting and "crowd" issue. There is no designated area for the snake coach. This coach will have some trouble seeing and moving along the net.

I don't know what the league rules are for mwxl.......I'm just letting you know what is possible at our field.

They better allow coaching because changing rule this close to event is unprofessional and will make us rethink playing the series. Paint change was fine plenty of warning an roster change thing also not bad because that should be a givin.

Honestly preder at the event last year at the plex it was insanely loud with 2 fields going on and people yelling constantly it was so loud you couldnt hear anything on the field itself. I would imagine they will probably still allow coaching but just because this one is inside if we get a vote I would suggest to not allow coaching just for the sake of the players being able to hear each other on the field.

Unprofessional? But they did that exact same thing at psp this year

Yeah it was incredibly loud. I'm hoping they only run one field instead of two this time so that it's regulation size and there isn't a huge problem with noise and false starts like I saw last year.

This means, NO team will have a sideline coach on the field! We can't stop spectaure coaching however, there was never, nor will there be coaching on the field for D4. There was none last year and will be none this year and moving forward

What team do you play for kid? I only ask because, had you played the series last year you would already know that there is NO coaching in D4.

Doc, did you play the series last year? Again, THERE IS NO COACHING IN D4 and never has. At least the last 2 years. You guys should be playing D3 anyway

No, I did not. There were no D3 events last year, so I did not play. And yes, we had a potential line for D3 and D4, but not enough teams stepped up. So when MWXL is able to run D3, I will be there! I just wanna play!

So spectator coaching is okay, like in PSP, correct. Meaning that as long as the person is not staff or on a roster, they can coach.

I know last year there was officially no coaching in D4, but some players stated that there was still spectator coaching.
