The only reason that companies are taking it back to the woods is that this is largest growing demographic and anybody who doesn't see that can't see the forrest for the trees as they say.
They did the exact same thing tippman has been doing for years in that they are selling after market add on that only add esthetic value to the marker. I've played that game before and its the reason why i could cares less how realistic a marker is i want the best shooter.
As a few people have mentioned the one epic fail has to be the red dot sight behind the feedneck!!. From all accounts the Etha a great shooter don't waste your money on this junk.

I think this is a pretty cool kit and will be really well made like everything pe produces.. It will probably cost a bundle too. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 150 - 200 dollar tag on this kit. What I'm wondering though is where do u get that headband the guy in the picture is wearing?? He's wearing the hde jersey and that looks like an hde headband but I've never seen that before and want one . Anyone know?

Good job to Planet for adding another market for their gear!

Actually, the woodsball demographic is the one that has kept paintball alive to this day. There are far more woodsball/scenario/rec/rental players then there ever was speedballers.

You need to educate yourself on how occluded sights actually work before making a fail statement. They don't work like a traditional scope. One eye trains on the sight, the other trains on the target. Yep, that's right, you keep both eyes open when you use occluded sights. Closing one eye defeats the purpose.

That is what i re-enforced with my statement, learn to read.

Yes and every kid and adult player who will put a sight on thier marker trains themselves to do this right?. I do know that both eyes are meant to be open and that the point is free floating dot on the target but if you have a feedneck in the sightlines it will be useless so yes it is a failure!

The red dot sight is going to give you a sweet look at the back of your loader if you configure it as shown.
Kit looks interesting though

There is a saying speed for show and woods for dough. There has always been more money and players in the woods. I applaud eclipse for bridging the gap between the two. People stereotype eclipse guns with speedball players but in actuality if you used an eclipse gun in the woods scenario players would see that they rock. Team desert edge has been playing with eclipse markers for a long time now and if you know about desert edge you know that their main focus is woodsball tournaments, UWL specific. The fact that eclipse is taking that step to reach out is awesome, true I don't play with a milsim gun and the red dot happens to be looking at the feedneck but let's be honest this kit is strictly for looks and not functionality just like all add ons but it still looks bad A though!!

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how much education they have on the matter. If you actually know how an occluded sight works, then you should know that the feed-neck isn't an issue. Besides, everyone knows sights/red dots/lasers and scopes work in paintball since they are so accurate

This looks so cool, and I don't really like the whole milsim thing. I'd definitely buy it if I had an Etha
