'09 Feedneck Question

My '09 Impulse finally succumbed to the feedneck prongs breaking around the breech screws.

My question is: I've heard GoG can repair the issue, but are they just going to replace it with the exact same parts or cold-weld the thing so that I can wait for it to happen again, or are they at a point where they're replacing these parts with a more durable alternative? If the former is the case, I'll probably just come up with a more permanent solution of my own.

Thanks for any input, guys. Have a nice day.

If you end up coming up with a more durable solution let me know.

But having first hand experience with the repairs they do.. Yes, they just stick a new one in and JB weld it into place. Not very durable at all, and after the first time it happens each subsequent repair is weaker. I think my friends 09 has had it repaired 3 times now.
