So I recently decided that I wanted to start a small clothing company. The company would be "yolo" you only live once, me and my freinds always joked around with it like the "swag". But I have been trying to get more serious with this idea. I just would like some help on what I should do, make multiple shirts? Or just make a few (by this I mean spend multiple hundreds on starting or just make like 5 shirts and see where that puts me) ? And what would be a good site that would sell colored shirts for cheap?
My 17 year old cousin made $40k off his clothing this year and he just started. "Rocoo the Great" He does that weird style clothing. From what I understand he made most of his money off of people who send their clothing into him and then he puts his artwork onto it. Also as an example below he gets paid to draw on other peoples walls and stuff.
An example of his stuff. Def not my style but thats cool.
Anything can work you just need to be different.
One of my uncles is a great illustrator.
The other is the biggest elvis artist there is and did all the artwork for the Elvis show in Vegas.
Cousin makes a living off youtube for apple/tech stuff.
Anything can work if you find soemthing different and do it right.

Bad idea. Will fail To much competition, people will have a hard time finding you, advertising will be to much and other companies get things like that directly from or manufacture their own shirts so their costs are way lower.
I dont see a good side to it. Maybe and thats a big maybe you could do local stuff but it wont make you ****.
Of all my family members that I listed above they started doing these things because they loved it and in turn people loved their stuff and they were then able to live off of it. You are going into a saturated market with an immediate expectation to make a profit with an unoriginal idea.

I hope you die in a ****ing fire. That word died on spring break and should stay forever in the grave.
Also Rocco the Great completely ripped off adventure time's style and is a toy *****.
I dont know about that style, where it came from or what adventure times is. However all art is similar to someone elses art. Whether it be music or painting. Because Picasso was not the first abstract artist do we just demerit him? Theres all sorts of hip hop, electro, country and rock. Are they all just stealing each others style and not talented?
He started doing his art because it is what he liked doing. He did not expect anything out of it. People saw his stuff and liked it. He managed to find alternative ways to make money off doing what he loves. He draws on peoples walls, clothes, shirts.... anything.
Sure that word is over with? I'm just now telling people what it is. Hmm well thanks for the advise! I'm trying to keep it local and I don't worry about making a **** Ton of money off it I just wanted to find other things to invest in besides paintball.
I would say its not a good investment and as far as paintball that is not an investment in anyway at all.
Make a few shirts if you want but dont expect people to be lining up for them. If your friends like them try and sell them.
Local things like that are tough though. People want to be different and may like the shirts. if you do actually start selling them and a bunch of people wear them your market will fade since it is no longer original.
It is similar but damn near all childrens cartoons are drawn like that now. I think the big draw to his stuff is the small details and all the ideas behind a single drawing. Take a look at that video for example? There are hundreds (maybe not hundreds but a lot) of things going on and has a meaning.
There is just so much going on. I loled when I noticed batman.
It sounds like a good idea. But Yolo is a terrible name.
